I'm in depth 1, and that's a tier 2, maybe stratum 4 Gun Puppy right there guarding those boxes. Because of the depth, while I could normally tear it apart easily, my weapons were extremely ineffective...
You found three gun puppies guarding a gate, with the middle one amped-up. This is a standard "room" used in generating deconstruction zones. You will see it many times if you continue to play them. If you search for threads you can find threads about it too. Cheers.
Yes, that's supposed to happen. Sometimes there are 2 upgraded turrets instead, or rocket puppies. They're supposed to be "elite" enemies guarding that room, since it's full of boxes.
