I saw one...
In preview I saw one, he was sitting there very peacefully and my party was like 'Shh! don't provoke it!' and we just tiptoed away. And now they're on vacation so I still haven't fought one.

Brutal things...
I ran into one during the preview event. Wearing starter gear, several floors further than I should have been... I saw it.
.. And I hit it with collateral damage.
Its reaction was horrifying.. From earthquakes to missiles to straight-up bull rushing, it did everything in its power to obliterate me.
But I was a clever foe, and hid behind a low wall so it could not bite my head off. By the time it realized it should walk around the wall, it was dead from a thousand gunshots sunk into its nigh-impervious shell.
I guess they learned to stay away from me.

They were in the preview and in the first week or so of release? Dropped lots of shields during that time - anyways they are missed, and were fun, and hopefully we will see a return in the future.

I think the devs mentioned
I think the devs mentioned somewhere that the tortodrone was killed a pair of lumbers.. :,(
