Man I wish I could still do this at the auction house

So when the Auction House update first came in, I was excited because I was crap at using the trade channel and would regularly spend 2-3 hours copying and pasting the same message onto the channel instead of actually playing. I sold a bunch of 5* recipes i bought before the update at about 50k - this was before I realized the update lowered the price of 5* recipes to 25k. Nevertheless, they sold very quickly, and after I made it to Basil again to buy more and found that the price had dropped, I began to wonder how high on the AH I could make the prices before people would stop buying. Turns out I could make the price as high as 60k and still consistently sell recipes. I don't know exactly how many crowns I made selling 5* recipes at that ridiculously high price, but I would estimate it to be around 600k-700k. So yeah, a fair amount of money. Unfortunately, people have gotten wise to it since then. I still sell a recipe at that price occasionally, but I've never had that kind of success before or since. Don't know why I'm saying this now, I just kind of wanted to tel someone about it.

What's the highest you've sold a 5* recipe for? How much did you make off the auction house?

Cause with rising price of CE

Cause with rising price of CE everyone is trying to make extra crowns on reselling recipes now so the market is getting flooded, I had a great list of recipes that sold well now I've been slowly crossing ones out and found maybe a dozen recipes that I know I can profit from, everything else is a gamble now.

ive always tried to price

ive always tried to price below whatever competition was out there. probably could have made more on some recipes, definitely noticed many are less viable or selling cheaper than they were, but its still the most profit im getting out of a T3 (half) run. at best i think I made 25k (double price) profit off a recipe, maybe slightly more, but usually its between 2k-7.5k. overall i'd imagine ive made between 150k-300k.. had some losses here and there (still have a dud recipe or two i need to unload after a few action failures, and no takers on trade chat)

i dont even bother to sell mats or anything because it just seems like a waste of time setting it up :/

oh, and as a fellow seller i

oh, and as a fellow seller i was pretty annoyed by the people selling recipes at the same price when the prices were halved. not because of the profits you guys were making instead of me, but because it was taking advantage of people who didnt know better and I wouldnt want that to happen to me. ah well

I don't make much off of

I don't make much off of recipes, but I sure can't blame people for taking advantage of other people's ignorance. We all got the mail saying that the prices had changed, and while I honestly don't remember if they told the new prices in the mail you could go to the Knight that sold recipes in the Bazaar (not the Stranger with the random list) and find all the new prices out. It is not the seller's job to make sure you know what things are worth, it is the buyer's so they don't get snowed.
