I'm curious about whether or not they fixed the polar halo 3 years after its release, seeing how it had a critical bug trashing it. I thought that was why we skipped polar boxes after its first winter release. :^)

It turns into giant white squares when viewed from specific distances relative to the player wearing said halo.

Ah, the fog glitch? I've seen that with the Grasping Aura and, in the Winter Haven's Garrison, a section of the floor tiles leading to the lab.
Not sure about the floor tile one, but I'm pretty sure the squares are the go-to for haze-style effects such as the Halo sparkles and the entirety of the Grasp fog.

What might be needed is not a fix on the "square" portion of certain objects, but a redo on fog effects. Fixing the distance/cooling chamber fog's effect on those accessories is likely easier, and whatever the devs are doing, they probably want a simpler way to fix an issue than to redo how haze effects work entirely.

just my 2cr worth

A more important question....

Is the lag gone?

This is why I don't submit bug reports anymore. The polar halo has been broken since its release years ago, and it magically gets re-released in a still-broken state. It's also nice knowing that the mixmaster will get re-released even though it's still critically broken, as seen by the polar box's re-release.
