Well, it is supposed to be a monkey tail, and the characters in super monkey ball are monkeys, so I don't know what you were expecting.
I am glad I've been f2p for an extremely long time now.
You don't become F2P after a period of not spending money on a game, Petater. Once you put money into a game, you're no longer a F2P, forever.

I've been playing the game for free for over a year, and haven't been utilizing assets from when I gave them money while nick was on staff, and when I still thought funding them would encourage map and boss development. I'm glad I haven't encouraged the company monetarily, for well over a year, with the direction it's been planning for the game. I wouldn't want to encourage mistakes to be made by the employees, so why would I fund the mistakes? Sure, I stopped giving them money after the pris vee incident, but the company is supposed to come to me, I don't come to it, in terms of offering a product. You want us to come to you, then start a kickstarter, since we're not investors, we're customers. I'm extremely glad ulterior motives for me not funding the company turned out for the better. I'm at peace with knowing the current administration will not improve the game and that I'm ok with the game shutting down. I'd rather it shut down than fund it.
Also about the monkey tails in the game, I mean they actually are extremely close to some 3D models from particular super monkey ball games. Not just because they're monkey tails.

No, no it's not. A purchase is a one-off event. Marriage is not. You don't automatically become unmarried the day after the ceremony, nor after any arbitrary time period without some kind of legal intervention.
The status of F2P however, i.e. "Haven't put any money into the game" is a debateably non-reinstating descriptor. In a non-subscription based game like this one where there is no ongoing benefits from a purchase, you don't become no longer P2P a day after a purchase, nor a week after the purchase, nor a month after a purchase.
You could however, argue that in principle you are F2P on the day that you instate a personal boycott, but even this is a more personal definition than a technical one.
You could also argue that in this game with no subscription mechanic, you are never P2P, as the only thing in the game that exists are microtransactions, ways to spend money without actually being locked into any sort of long lasting contract. This is more relatable to being a "friend with benefits" to Spiral Knights, where every now and then you give the developers what they want, without being tied down by titles like "P2P" or "Girlfriend" etc

Know what would be nice to see? Employees actually saying what they're doing rather than be like "kthx here's costumes you don't even want for the next two weeks." I thought community managers were supposed to manage the community.
I am glad I've been f2p for an extremely long time now. I'm obviously not the target consumer nor do they have interest in appealing to me, which is all for the better. I just want to be on record saying that I am at peace with the game server shutting down, because I know the current situation will not improve ever.
