Veteran players often have hundreds of Eternal Orbs. Certainly I do.
At the ordinary spawn rate (according to my experience and what little data I've seen), you'd have to play a long time before you saw hundreds of Black Kats. So your situation does not surprise me.
You're probably not seeking a solution to this dilemma, but in case you are: Run Operation Crimson Hammer, craft Perfect Mask of Seerus, and sell it to a vendor. Use your crowns to buy slots in a Margrel party. Cheers.

I feel you
I found a good 4 eternal orbs of alchemy before I found one black kat.
And Bopp I think they mean while hunting for kats, they keep finding eternal orbs.

I'm finding more Black Kats than Eternals, fortunately. Howevier if I total up Sparks + Eternals I get about 1.5x as many, relative to Black Kats.

Im happy, sad, and suspicious
So far I have almost no luck finding kats, so I drive myself into the void of knowing that I probly wont get book (sad face)
On the bright side, lolz, so far I have found 12 eternals, found like 1.6k shinys, and have gotton over 50k cr from the boxes, making the kat eye cowl, and
am so close :D
On the dark side, where the heck did it all come from? I never have ever had this luck (suspicious face)
Now I wonder about the chances of this luck of getting a book now :D

i havent found that many orbs but thats cos i only open boxes that come in my way

ok im surprised no ones mentioned this
youre not having better luck, its the same as always
youre just speedrunning the level so you find boxes quicker, more boxes in a smaller amount of time makes you more likely to find something you want in them in a seemingly higher chance, even though its just because theres more opened
