So, pretty much auras that look exactly like a status effect.
For freeze, since that wouldn't be much of an aura, do snowflakes or think of something.
OOO is good at that.

Ms. Proudmoore, I presume?

ermmmmmmmm nope

This would soooo OP in LD, where you could use the auras to pretend that you had the status on you.

Totally.
That's partially what makes it cool.
Plus, in LD, people don't usually care if the enemy already has a status effect. They'll just keep fighting.

Er

In lockdown, seeing your opponent inflicted with a status is heavily a reason to pursue them. If they're shocked and retreating, that typically means they're low on health and trying to back out of the fight. A striker will pursue someone who looks shocked because of this.

On top of that, mist walkers could imitate being inflicted with a status. When your opponent is poisoned it heavily debuffs them, so players will often fight off poisoned players even when they themselves are low on health because a poisoned player is a much smaller threat.

Strikers may be more into the whole "fight everything always", however recons and guardians will be keeping a more watchful eye out for statuses. Adding these auras would mess with the game more than add to it.

New idea: skelly auras.
When you walk, skelly hands reach out of the ground, but not the rest of their bodies.
Different ones for different types of skellies.
And the aura itself could be like the tangled aura, except with skelly arms. :D

Yea I wanna have a cursed aura. Basically a baleful aura with that big curse symbol. I guess that would be fun in LD.
