Rules:

Rules set in stone: No auto target* Recording and uploading needed** Tier 3 only UVs allowed Trinkets allowed Weapon slots allowed

Gear restrictions:
NO weapons that can inflict status on basic attack
No black kat line
No Chaos cloak/hood
No Blaster line other than normal damage

Score rules:
First to 5 kills wins
USA vs EUR: First to 5 kills on each server. Count total score.
In case of tied score, do it all over. May Pony help us all.
Challenger decides which server to go first.
A judge will need to count down and keep track of the score. Both participants choose who is the judge. You may start attacking when the judge says "go".

Special rules:
Take the heart dropped from every kill/bush before the next round.
No standing inside barriers or base.
No usage of heal pads
No capturing

Changing rules:
If a majority of participating*** players vote for a change once the list is full there will be a change.
Rules set in stone are set in stone.

How to challenge:
Post here or tell the challenged knight and have it posted here.
Challenger wins means they take the others' slot and pushes the list down from there.
You may challenge up to 2 above your slot. Exception: 3rd slot may only challenge 2nd slot and newcomers may only challenge the last
Time from thrown challenge to auto loss: 96h
Time from loss to challenge: 96h

Be prepared to substitute to an active guild to start the duel.
Duels take place in a guild vs guild match with tied capture score on purpose.

*How to show AT is off

**Quality for video needed: Anything from hq screen recording to phone duct taped to your head.
Suggested recording software: Open Broadcaster Software

***Participating in this case means you have got to have played at least one duel, uploaded it to YouTube and linked here.

How to join:
Challenge the very last person on the rankings and link your YouTube page. Free slots? First come, first served.
You also have to answer these 2 questions to participate:
What is your opinion on the set of rules? Why?
An answer such as good or bad will not be enough.

There was 0 competition in this game and the developers didn't give a shit about the PvP (and looks like it's happening the same with PvE now) so the community had to do everything and set their own official competition

This rule is pretty silly when Chaos/BK is banned. That's why people frequently consider them so OP - you can buff up their damage a lot but unlike Valiance you can't use Ancient Plate or super UVs to tank it.

Good luck, anyhow! I'm too distant from the LD community nowadays, especially now that Eu games are so uncommon and you always have to deal with lag.

Specialised blasters have the same damage as Valiance. In many cases, specialised blasters will do exactly the same damage as Valiance e.g. in the case of Arcana and Valiance vs Chaos. Riftlocker and Phantomos will do 25 more damage in that scenario.

Class sets have the same specialised defence as glass cannon sets and 140 normal defence, so the difference between Valiance and Phantomos on Snarbolax will be about 20 damage, while Arcana would do about 40 more than Valiance. However, this is only on high damage bonuses, which is why blasters are perceived as overpowered strong. That, and people only invest in normal UVs.

Since blaster damage is pretty low without bonuses, base defence (100) is around the threshold between linear damage reduction and the fancier logarithmic reduction. This means that only a small amount of any additional defence is significant; extensive defence stacking becomes redundant quickly. In the case of Valiance vs class sets, your defence is well beyond threshold values when the Valiance is at no damage bonus.
