The shield hit/invincitink noise

So I'm not here to discuss invincitinks or whatever, but recently I got back into minecraft because the 1.9 update makes me feel young again. That being said, I made a skin texture of the valkyrie armor, and long story short I'm doing a lot of work on a resource pack that's spiral knight themed.

Recently I finished reskinning The End, and in doing so learned how to replace sounds in the game. As such, I've decided to do some sound replacements.

One of the sounds I was thinking about doing was the shield block noise. No, not the raising shield noise, simply the damage negation hit noise. Problem is I'm digging around the spiral knights sound folder and can't find the blasted thing anywhere. It's reused in so many areas, so it could be in various locations, but I'm just not finding it.

If anyone has a path to that sound or just has it laying around for some reason then I could really use it.

Did a bit of digging and found out that it's pot_smash played at double speed.

The sound should have one file for it, despite how many areas it's used in the game. I can't find it either.

Ooh :3

Hey that's really cool! Personally I'm finding it a bit difficult to adjust to 1.9, but it looks great! I suppose it's good to finally have the combat balanced out XD

Hmm

It sounds closer to x2.5 speed to me, but still doesn't sound quite right. The "tink" sound itself still feels a bit different, but i might fall back on this if I can't find the sound at all.

Here, I went and recorded the actual in-game tinking with my Seraphynx to compare. The 4 tinks after the silence are pot_smash at 2x speed.

EDIT: Whooops. 3x, not 2x. Haven't used Audacity in a while and assumed that Change Speed at 200% would be double.

Huh.

Well I typically play on lower volume but yeah, just tried some stuff in game and you're right.

Very odd that it would use that sound, but it is what it is. Thanks for the help!

You are experiencing a PICNIC ERROR!

Odd indeed! This is a good find!

...if I could use SK assets in my game. Makes a frowny face.

So...does that mean that we can start calling our useless shards Pot Bombs?

You can find the noise in my nightmares.
