Similarly to the Splendid Screen in TF2, I'm proposing an option to switch cosmetic styles for certain pieces of equipment.

Crescent Helms (including Galactic Guardian but excluding 4* Cobalt):
-Addition of "open" and "closed" states, in which the visor is raised or lowered.
-Frontal accessory slots for all Crescent Helms

1* and 3* Masks of Seerus:
-Addition of "left" and "right" sides for the fractured portion to be on--essentially a mirror variant.

Cloak armors and costumes:
-Option to remove the Cloak's collar, if applicable.
-Frontal accessory slots for all Cloaks

Thoughts?

Where is my watermelon??

Yeah that sounds pretty cool! I like the idea of having open or closed slates, that I think could definitely pass as a new feature in the game.

hmm...

When you say option to switch cosmetic styles for certain pieces of equipment, are you suggesting 3rings to introduce more reskins/remodels or were you thinking of a cosmetic 'toggle' option?

did you read it?

It is clearly an option to toggle existing gear settings, not adding reskins

As an idea this would work, but of course everything needs to be looked at, such as any other asymmetrical gear pieces and maybe flipping accessories (targeting modules, canteens, etc)

Eh

Yes to adding the accessory slots, sort of iffy on the toggle of gear.

Crescent with helmet front shouldn't be able to have the helmet put down. However I really think at least the tri-guard helmet should have the helmet visor pulled up, because promotional art says it should be.

It would be nice if there was, say, a vendor that could "alternate" costume styles. This would be a costume-only adjustment, with maybe certain gear being on a whitelist (ie the tri-guard helmet). Would cost some small amount, like 5k to 10k crowns to do the object, but if you have any accessories that would be destroyed by the process you must have an accessory recovery ticket else the service is grayed out.

This would open up a lot of opportunities for costume alternatives. Imagine winged helms without the plume (although I do love the plume), opening up helmet back accessories? Or node slime without the pulsing pattern? Cloaks as gunslinger ponchos, raiments as "tattered" (aka kat armor) variants... Lots of opportunities.
This would open a world of cosmetics that we haven't had, as well as a small but reasonable crown sink for people who can't choose how they want to look.

@fangel

Vendors for that kinda thing would be amazing, and a realistic crownsink. Though I can't see why accessories would need to be removed if it was still technically the same gear.
Also, in the case of the Galactic Guardian Helm, there's no reason other Crescent Helms shouldn't be able to have a model like that too. Plus I really just want an open version of GG because I'm a crescenthelm kinda guy.

(wouldn't nodeslime without the nodes be just fancy slime?)
