So, with the Gray Havens being the new guys in charge, will this mean that some GMs will be replaced/added? Because a time couldn't be better for some GMs to have Roman god names. I mean think about it, the Romans (GHs) adopted the Greek's religion (OOO), then added on to it, creating something unique, yet familiar...

As much as we enjoy new name suggestions, the Game Masters staying with Spiral Knights have been about for a while. Some of us (me for example!) have lurked behind the scenes in the past, but will now be more visible in the forums and elsewhere.
So a bunch of GMs have just been lurking on the forums this whole time? That's pretty cool to know even if you've had to keep previous interaction to a minimum.
We're all relieved to know we'll be seeing more of you guys here, either way.

At least you & the other GMs & devs are resuming activity back to where it used to be years ago.
What I don't understand is why the team would intentionally conduct radio silence. It's driven away an unfathomable amount of players already. If there was an extensive Q/A conducted once every month or two, you wouldn't find people in haven passing hearsay about the death of Spiral Knights. Even a Q/A with negative info can be less harmful than radio silence. The ominous radio silence pushes away too many.
Yes we understand development expectation weren't met. We'd still would rather hear about it not being on schedule or scrapped rather than nothing at all. Radio silence equates to people implying the product is no longer maintained or looked at. It's not creepy to say nothing, it's discouraging rather.
You want to shut up all the sk ded threads? Make a monthly Q/A sticky. Even if there's no positive info, they won't regurgitate the already plausible assumptions.
They probably go by the doctrine of "if you don't anything nice to say, don't say it at all."

You know, we could just make a QA thread. Last time we did that it got locked and they answered our questions head on. They did take the cheap way out by not actually telling us who exactly from Three Segas is in Grey Havens and they didn't tell us where they're going with this, but they did answer something. I don't believe you've tried making that thread yet, have you? The fact is that you shouldn't, but that you could.
Why would I generate an additional Q/A thread when I've already created enough with no replies?
It is also not my job to communicate with the playerbase, that'd fall on the onerous of those whose job is community manager. It's not like one forgets Nick used to make threads to communicate with the users. So, yes, I'm requesting a sticky thread made by a Grey Havens team member, that doesn't result in more questions than answers.
I mean yeah but you're not going to get any answers because they're going to just fail at communication again.
The reference is pretty cool. I am looking forward to the introduction of the new GMs (I hope there will be one).
