So, I have this to speak...

With Spiral Knights being transferred to Grey Havens, will the core formula for the game still remain intact?

Well, I had some excitement about the news Eurydice gave out about that, 'cause it's a very good thing that without the chains SEGA held them down for a long time, we may finally see more and more content updates & storyline advancements, & that's a good thing to those wanting more adventures for a very long time. Better that than shutting it down, not like key MMOs we use to love... but that's in another time & another place.

And all under the game's 5th anniversary! Some coincidence, eh?

Nevertheless, I wish Grey Havens a lotta luck in keeping the game going.

Just to know, & a bit unrelated, but, SK is verified by the ESRB, I presume, so there should be an "E10+" rating, yes? I would presume so, 'cause I would sure like the language & player moderation to be a high priority & of great importance, too.

We all need to have fun & be safe to everyone, yes? With a team of content development people, there should also be game, forum, language & player moderation team, too.

13, not 10

We don't yet know what resources Grey Havens will bring. My guess is that radical game changes are unlikely. My guess is that any large new content is unlikely. Or at least I'm not getting my hopes up.

I am not aware that SK is certified by ESRB. Regardless of that, the terms of service require age 13 or greater. I believe that this is due to the COPPA law in the USA.

The gameplay in SK highly

The gameplay in SK highly resembles & compares to certain Legend of Zelda games, namely, E.G., "The Legends of Zelda: Four Swords Adventures", & the reminiscing aspects from it is what made the game it is today, so I would doubt they would change the overall formula & experience.

If you look on the very bottom of the website on the near lower-right, near to the SEGA logo, you should see the "Privacy Certified" label from the ESRB, so it's likely sent to the ESRB at some point, & yet, no proper rating's been shown yet. Click on that, & you'll see there's also another label that says "Privacy Certified Kids", too.

In time, maybe Grey Havens might inform the ESRB again & give them a proper rating, once they settle in. Ownership changes from an ongoing MMO would mean doing certain procedures all over again, yes?

Shouldn't cost plenty to give SK a suitable rating from them.

Random-Remark
T

Since it's 13+ in the terms of service it'd likely be rated T. You really aren't going to see a 10+ MMO unless it advertises being kid safe as a selling point.
