Can we make fire crystals and orbs of alchemy tradeabe?

Ok, so here's my complaint:
Right now, unless you buy them from the Supply Depot, fire crystals & alchemy orbs are BOUND BY DEFAULT.
What's making a lot of people not play the game?
Heating to get to 5*.
What do you need?
Shining crystals.
What is there a surplus of that no-one can trade?
Shining freabkin' fire crystals!

Also, I don't care about the alchemy orbs as much, but it would be nice...

Side note: it'd also let me get rid of my 250 glowing crystals I'll never use from Jelly King runs.

That would likely ruin the economy. If every orb you find was tradable.

Why don't you put those orbs and crystals to good use and make a new set of armor. Or something.

Y'know what someone else explain this for me, Bopp? Fangel? Someone smarter than me?

Problem is, I'm the one lacking in orbs & crystals. And I'm sure many other people are too.
Maybe not orbs, just crystals: people complain that they have too many, so why not give them a chance to use all those crystals?

no, just stop with these lazy threads

Shinings arent hard to get, at all, just put in the grind time for them like literally every other part of sk
And for orbs, just ask around for which missions are good for them, or just buy them

We dont need a major game change just because some people are too lazy to get things as theyre intended
if you really care about people "having too many" orbs/fire crystals, just let us vendor them, dont ruin the games rarity economy
(Coming from a guy with over 20k shinings and more than 100 eternals, I know its a lot, and just the orbs alone would flood the market with so many people in the same position as me)

Give us another use

Rather than give us trading of rarities, I would personally prefer a group crafting/heating station. it could work in two ways - you group up with players at the station and heat/craft items together (my preferred method), or players can donate excess rarities and materials into a station which then anyone in Spiral Knights can use to level up or craft their gear.

Costs at these stations would be somewhere around x1.5 to 1.66x the amount of regular crafting costs, meaning if you want the cheapest items you're crafting on your own. Group crafting would be for players such as myself who have too many materials, fire crystals, and orbs of alchemy, and would be more than happy to help friends and strangers alike heat or craft their gear.

This essentially creates a greater sink for these items without having a direct influence over their market. Since group crafting costs more overall you'll really only find players with too much stuff willing to craft things, or additionally, if you're playing with a group of friends, you can help your friend get to the next star level with the extra orbs you've gotten.

Selling the items isn't really needed, however all rarities are literally only in the game to be used by the player who finds them. By making the player able to use these items on other players, it keeps to this logic instead of just becoming "material 2.0".
