I lost over 250kE in items.

I know my friends have addressed this already and Hera answered it, but I never got my items back, and nothing seems to have happened.

So yesterday, I was showing my items to a user (name disclosed, but if a GM addresses this issue, ill email him/her about it). My mouse dropped, and it accidentally hit trade.

He got the items, but then refused to give it back, saying it was his now, and showing it off to different people.

Not sure where to put this; I sent a support ticket and they told me to report him, which I did, and I know its supposed to go in the wrong trade section, but he refuses to give them back.

I lost my items (by NO FAULT OF MY OWN, mind you) and it was even over 250kE in items.

Is there any way I can get these back? Or am I screwed? Because 250kE is a large amount, and I'm not sure he deserves those items.

Oh geez

I'm sorry to hear that. With all that's going on over at Grey Havens the responses might be slowish.

If ever this does happen in the future, using the /complain option to report a player actually sends session information to Three Rings/Grey Havens. Same with the F2 bug report. By doing this they can find out what just happened in the trade, what was said, etc.

If you waited a while the session information might be lost, so it's just your words against theirs. Hopefully things will be resolved.

Unfortunately u cant recover your stuff. It was ur fault for dropping the mouse lol... train your muscle memory to not do that when youre trading a player.

Also is there an ignore option on the forums i really need to take advantage of that.

Im so lit yo

Um

By the sounds of it, it seems like you were the one who was on the other end of the trade. Whether or not it was you, this sort of thing is rather scummy to do. Going around bragging about taking advantage of someone's mistake isn't going to earn you friends.

But giving you the benefit of the doubt, and you were not the one who did this, I will still say that while yes, it is Spirple's issue they completed that trade, many players are respectable enough to acknowledge the mistake that return the items.
Though I suppose this is a lesson in that you shouldn't be showing off items you aren't willing to lose in a trade window.
