Hey dudes/dudettes,
just wondering what you lot think about the Drakon's ultimate abilities. Mine is level 89, so the ultimate stage is not far away for me. Do you guys have any recommendations about the abilities I should choose?
If it has any relevance: if I have an opportunity to effectively deal more damage, I'll take it (within reason, so preferably I'll still have a decent defense); I love speed and attack buffs; shorter cool-down times are always nice; and yay for fire.

My personal preferences are the stunning fireball, the extra fireball barrier, and the team-buffing firestorm. I find that these allow Drakon to do what he is best at better for general combat purposes- be a cheap and easy source of damage for supports.

From time to time i think about Meteoric Firebolt cuz its a bigger AOE. This AOE makes the ability the longest range attack in the game aside from vials. And its really useful in some rare cheesie places. But then i realise if i collect vials, its all good. Plus you really dont meet these places often.

another massive reason to get frenzied firestorm is the attack speed and damage buff you get applies to the entire party no matter the distance, and it can be refreshed when enemies get hit multiple times with the firestorm. o p.s did I mention you can glitch out charges with it and sometimes get a double charge attack? ;3

i think i'm just so used playing this game without pets that i ignored it and then quit playing and now returning again i still do not use it hehe

Indeed. Even though Firebolt doesn't do a ton of damage, it seems like it has a great flinch rate. Fire Barrier is awesome if you use a Striker or are punching things with the Tortofists. Firestorm is great with mobs and/or a big party. (Also, it works regardless of enemy resistance to your harness. An added plus.)
Keep in mind that the sprites appearance changes as you choose it's ultimate form.

Personally, I would go with the first one of every section because they make your dragon look really cool, but that's MY opinion, you could choose the second one of every column and make it look like a lumberjack for all I care. That's all up to you. My drakon is approaching the final stage too so I'm thinking about my options as well.

That feature I really hate. I really don't want my Drakon to look like what my planned Ultimates will give, but I'm stuck with it because function > cosmetics.
Which is why I suggested that's completely replaced with effectively an accessory system for battle sprites.
My drakon has meteroic firebolt, backfire barrier, and explosive firestorm. For the most part it works out for me.
I use my drakon as a sort of "fire and forget" sort of sprite, outside of backfire barrier for zipping around maps and rushing enemies. If I ever end up with another drakon I'll probably swap the ultimates (as I did with my black kat sprite) so I can try everything out.
But all in all, it depends if you want to be in-their-face offensive, or out-of-their-face offensive. The choices I made are more the latter, primarily because if i'm in an enemy's face I'm typically dishing out enough damage that I don't need a sprite ability active - but when I pull out to reposition is when I throw an ability around.
I leveled it to level 50 (very high level) but as it seems It has been useless more or less. Not very good I should have selected Seraphyx
Well, you made a bit decision, drakons are really bad as a first sprite, since they are only good with their ulties, while the other two's skills are helpful even at low lvls. But at least the drakon doesn't have crappy ultis, unlike sera/mask, so whatever you will choose will be fine. Just keep on feeding it, there's no reason not to have a sprite equipped.
Btw, lvl 50 isn't very high at all, in fact it's in the middle (the 3rd ultis come at lvl 100).
Maybe Drakon ulties are a bit better (2 piece of powerhouses), but the others arent crappy.
Sera's Disintegration Ray is pretty much OP category to me as well as Mask's Deadly Shadow Cloak :) And the Vengeful Quills is also alright.
Sera is a really powerful support sprite. Heart attack is the main reason I took it, saved my hide many times.
Disinto Ray is decent against bosses. And with Valkyrie Shield giving you CTR in addition to defense you can become the bombing incarnate. =D
as someone who is raising their own drakons at the moment, I already did bit of research on that.
the first choice is between making the fireball explosive or giving it stun. both have their uses.
the second choice is between adding another fireball to circle you and giving you a speed boost when you use it. first is for damage if you like to hug enemies, second is for speedrunning utility.
the third choice is between making the firestorm explosive and giving you buffs when it is used. the second option just seems better.
