I just got an advanced orb of alchemy at depths 7 elite difficulty. The level was lair of the snarbolax. I am writing this because advanced is supposed to drop in stratum 3, which starts with depth 9.
Advanced orb of alchemy
Orbs don't just drop in their appointed strata. They also have a chance of dropping in neighboring strata.
In particular, finding 3-star orbs in the Gloaming Wildwoods shows up in the Lancer Knightz mission rarity data set.
Its rare, but possible.
Even getting a d19 elite orb is possible. Etcetcetc...
I'll just leave this here

Eh, got an Elite Orb on Stratum 3. No biggie.
Except that I was looking for an Advanced orb.
...not that I'm complaining or anything.
I distinctly remember finding an advanced orb at like, depth 1, and a friend telling me they found an elite at depth 2. Pretty sure this was before the rarity overhaul AKA radiant drought, so those might be more normalized now.
Orb drops are weird.
Nice i wish i got something like that :)
Have been farming arcade for a week, no orb..........
If you are playing on the normal difficulty, orb drops are stupid rare. On elite they are still rare, but manageable. I would recommend farming for orbs on elite difficulty, and then knocking the difficulty down a notch if you find yourself dying after you get your orbs.
All rarities drop much less frequently on the normal difficulty. The elite difficulty will have them drop at a reasonable rate, however enemies will deal more damage and take more hits to die.
Elite difficulty is a good orb farming difficulty. Whereas on normal you may be looking for an orb for several days, on elite you might find 3-5 in one session. All depends on what difficulty you're on, what tier you're in, and what levels you play in.
Consider yourself lucky???
