Disappointed with Drakon's final skill.

So I finally got my Drakon to level 50. I was very excited about the evolution, and then...

...

I got this completely worthless timewaster.

It has somewhat short range (considering its other stats, at least), it has a massive cooldown, and the only thing it does is light enemies on fire in a certain area (exactly the same thing can be accomplished via a vial, except vials have no cooldown and can be used in a much larger area rather than right in front of you).

Does it become much better with skill points applied? Ultimate?

Did a quick search and found no decent answer to whether or not it's any good...

Edit: Looked in a bit more detail and found the general answer to be "No.".

In which case this is really more of a complaint thread that it's underpowered...

Pls fix

Quite a few threads from a long time ago have already complained that Drakon doesn't seem to do much damage even though it is advertised as the DPS sprite. Many people think Maskeraith deals more damage in general due to its ultimate.

From what I can tell, explosive firestorm is the damage ultimate, frenzied is the buff ultimate. Like several other abilities, sadly, the ultimate defines the skill.

But if you've just hit level 50 with a drakon give it some time. No sprite unlocks a new ability and then has it be amazing - even maskeraith's hexing haze is pretty unimpressive at base stats.

It's all really about playstyle. I played with a seraphynx for a long time, but it turns out drakon is actually my most effective sprite for content I know like the back of my hand. It's a shame they have to be max level to really be useful, but at max level the drakon does find a way to be effective.

Short answer: Frenzied Firestorm can do the most damage in the entire game as a single petskill, if you have a full party capable of exploiting the damage boost it provides.

I think that Drakon in general could use a buff. He's a fine battle sprite, but nothing he does is really that outstanding. Seraphynx on the other hand has heart attack and seraphic aura, which are both pretty incredible utilities. Maskeraith is also pretty incredible- its invisibility is amazing for stalling and doing damage to your choice of all enemies present and its quills can combine with haze bombs, blits needles, other team mates, just about anything, to make for a very nice damage increase.

What Drakon needs is something outstanding, even if that outstanding thing is just a buff- a faster charging, more impressive fireball, a longer lasting barrier, or a larger, longer lasting firestorm effect.
