I thought this might go under technical issues, but im not sure so i put it here. The Wiki does not appear to be working. When i attempt to look at it it simply says the website refuses to connect. In the meantime if anyone knows the best anti-shadow/fire armor set it would be much appreciated.
Wiki Isn't Working
We are currently looking into the wiki issue, thank you for bringing it to our attention!
Im just looking for the best set of armor to run vana. Im mostly a sword guy. And if i remember correctly the skeletons that infest those levels do shadow damage. with a fire proc. So i was looking for a good set.
Naw it's ok we don't really need the wiki anyway. Novaster remembers everything and can just tell us.

Oh, you're looking for a Firestorm Citadel loadout. That's one of the most frequently asked questions. You can find over a hundred threads by searching Google for something like "FSC loadout site:forums.spiralknights.com" (without the quotation marks). There is also a subsection specifically about it in my armor guide.
The short answer is: Normal and fire are more important than shadow. Just wear Vog Cub. If you use a lot of guns alongside your swords, then consider also Seerus or Firefly.
The fallen Set is also viable, Bopp may think shadow defense is overrated in FSC, but the damage of every slag zombies gnawing you can very quickly add up.
Honestly, Slags are easy to dodge. Just gotta keep up the footwork. Even Flame Ppys are more dangerous. Considering that with the firetraps, i'd say elemental defense is as much needed as shadow. But yeah normal is probably the must have, cuz fire damage ticks (DoT) are pure normal.
Yes, fire damage shows up as normal, but normal armor doesn't protect against it. I recommend normal armor just because Vanaduke, slag guards, and trojans do so much of it.
In acknowledgment of Midnight-Dj, let me point out: My statement that normal and fire are more important than shadow is an opinion, not a fact. These opinions are a bit better explained in my armor guide. And yes, Fallen is viable, although the fiend penalty is sad.
So if I understand this correctly. Vana does a lot of normal damage. With fire procs in the room. where-as all of the slags do shadow. so just running the first levels, shadow armor is best. but if you plan on fighting vana, high normal defense is better?
So if I understand this correctly. Vana does a lot of normal damage.
Yes. And so do his slag guards (the two guards in stage five of his fight). And so do trojans throughout FSC.
With fire procs in the room.
Yes. There is a lot of fire everywhere in FSC.
where-as all of the slags do shadow.
The slag walkers (fire zombies) do mainly shadow. The slag guards do mainly normal, if I recall correctly.
so just running the first levels, shadow armor is best.
In my opinion, fire resistance is more important than shadow protection. As Veridiandynamics said, zombies are almost never going to hit me. I'm more worried about accidentally nicking some shadow fire as I run (lag) around the room.
but if you plan on fighting vana, high normal defense is better?
In the Vanaduke fight itself, you probably want lots of normal protection and fire resistance. One of his attacks is elemental. You might also want some stun protection.
Ok, thanks for the info Bopp. much appreciated.
No Bopp you do not know that they are part man part woman I make that mistake too they always get mad and I am like what you assume people are one or the other all the time well the average human has one testicle and one ovary so it actually makes more sense to assume they're just both always.
I guess I'm not average then. I'm pure man. No ovaries here.
To clarify, all of the text is there, but the images are not.
Probably the administrators are fully aware of the problem, but it's reasonable for you to remind them.
Yes, in Wiki Editors there is already a thread about how the wiki isn't working. But the outage has been long enough that the issue is worth bringing up more widely.
In the meantime if anyone knows the best anti-shadow/fire armor set it would be much appreciated.
When the wiki is working again, you might read my armor guide. Usually you don't choose armor on whether it has shadow defense or not. You choose it based on offensive abilities and status resistances.
So you want a fire armor? Which offensive abilities do you want with that? Sword (Vog Cub), handgun (Seerus, Firefly), or bomb (Volcanic Demo)?
