Shout out to Hera and Cronus and any other GM who helped/is helping with this recent contest.

It shows to those of us who appreciated it that you aren't letting Spiral Knights just sit on the bookshelf and collect dust. I am sure that there are people who are unhappy that it wasn't the most extravagant contest they could hope for, but those are the one's who aren't appreciative and think the contest had no forethought to it. But I kindly thank you for organizing it because it shows me that Spiral Knights is in gentle hands. And for that I am grateful because even though I no longer play Spiral Knights, I do like to keep up to date with it since it holds a special place in my heart (for a little more of a reason than just simple nostalgia). So thank you. Thank you even if you deem the game unsuitable for further updates because your actions to this point show that you don't have a lack of regard for Spiral Knights.

I humbly appreciate all the efforts that took place for the contest and will further support future efforts.

I've already defended my views in that thread and subsequently stated that I won't be pursuing this further due to the negative backlash, so why you made a thread bad mouthing me (in the traditional SK fashion, since you know what you're doing :P) is truly a Mystery. Badum Tish. Get it, because MysteryZX is a player? No? Everyone that would get that has moved on? Ok.. sure.. yea.. we can go with that..

But, since you insist and I haven't exactly changed my views in spite of giving up-

The issue is that you're not playing the game any more. The "casual fun for the dwindling community" aspect of the contests is fine and they did do a great job on that, but interests me far less than the getting Hollows and other old friends back agenda. A larger contest on the other hand has the potential to draw in new players by growing that art community out (i.e. new friends) or by bringing players like you but more artistic back.

@Meghan-Trainor

Can someone explain to me this emoticon spam? I keep seeing it on Twitter and I really don't understand what it's supposed to mean... but I do find it really disgusting to look at.

!

oh my god it's hollows

the prophecy has come true!

But yeah, real talk, thanks for the little contest. It's been great chatting to the GMs in game too when they stick around a bit longer after their shift - makes the team feel more alive!

Hope to see more events like this in the future!

The contest got me returning back to SK

Even I am completely new to forum community and I have been playing other games for a while, somehow I saw there was the contest. I saw hope that SK is not dying.
I did say SK was my favorite game and I do expect I will say it again proudly when it is the time.

btw I see this thread as mainly giving a shoutout instead of "bad-mouthing" someone so keep the positive comments going perhaps?

I asked for larger prizes etc. for reasons I've been over and Hera shot them down. It ended there. Then Hollows made this thread-

"I am sure that there are people who are unhappy that it wasn't the most extravagant contest they could hope for, but those are the one's who aren't appreciative and think the contest had no forethought to it."

There aren't people, there is person and that person was me. Very subtle shots fired, but still shots fired.

Actually, I agree with

Actually, I agree with Frosty-Pretender that we should keep the positive comments going. This thread was intended to spread the positive despite all the negative. Someone's just not being very Professional about it.

@Fehzor: If you want to play games, how about we take it somewhere that isn't public?

That's a facade and this thread is everything wrong with moderation. Confirmation has been given to me in private via steam, far away from prying eyes.

But do have a happy thread about the contest. I'm not trying to hate on the contest, I just think it would be neat if there were big and awesome contests because that would be big and awesome. Small and fun for the art community is nice too, however.

It's fairly well known that

It's fairly well known that participants to these contests are not looking to enjoy a prize, but simply to show their love to the game community. There's really nothing to be disappointed about; if anything, not wanting to participate in such contests just means you don't have the dedication level required. Reducing a contest to it's payout just sounds morally wrong.

I gave you no such

I gave you no such confirmation, in fact I tried to explain why I wasn't taking shots at you and you still refused to think otherwise.

This thread is about how we appreciate that they had the contest and I hope that they do more. If there isn't a positive turnout when they do small contests, they may not do larger ones. I perceive this contest as the first contest that Grey Havens as a company has done for Spiral Knights, and I feel as if it was an appropriate first time contest.

And I am thankful that they were thoughtful enough to even do it.

My bad, I logged into the wrong account to post that. Ivy-Von is in fact me (Hollows) if anyone had any doubts.
