I goddamn love me some crescent-style helms, but I find it annoying that a lot of them dont allow you to put accessories where you want them.
what am I talking about?
well, first of all, lets see what crescent-style helmets actually encompass. first you have cobalt, solid cobalt and mighty cobalt (kind of), these have slots for side, back (except for mighty) and front, missing the top slot. then we have crescent recolours, having slots on the back, side and top, missing the front slot. lastly, there are the crescent proto helms and guardian helms, both of which have all four slots.
these items all have exactly the same model (except for mighty again) and even almost the same texture, yet they have varying accessory slot configurations. I want this fixed, giving all of them all available slots.

the other thing I was thinking about is allowing one to remove preexisting accessories. what do I mean with that?
divine veil has a divine halo attached, grey feather cowl has prismatic glow eyes attached, mercurial demo suit has prismatic pylons attached, only to name some that come to mind. what could now be changed is to treat these accessories as actual accessories, so you can remove them and replace them with something else. to prevent exploitation through detachment, these accessories would be unsalvageable, breaking even if you use the correct ticket. you could go even further and make some current items like kat suits and gremlin suits have detachable parts (tails and backpacks respectively) that may even stay intact if you detach them.

why should you do these things? more accessory slots means more possible costume variety and more possible used accessories, which means more possible profit too.

It is totally possible to

It is totally possible to remove accessories, all you need to do is buying a recovery ticket from the arsenal for 3.5-10k energy. In the current system you can do basically anything if you pay enough, this is how it was created. You can also pay, even if you don't want to do anything at all. Just for the sake of paying.

Joking aside, it would be really good if we could simply switch/remove the accessories.
For more costume options, maybe allowing players to craft the "basic" (those you can pick when you creating your character) and some "non-basic" armors and helmets (magic cloaks or fur coats for example) in the basic color styles (character creation again). The recipes would be stored in the alchemy stations, so you would only need the right materials and some crowns. These wouldn't need orbs, they would be 0* and having no stats just like every other costume.
I would like to make a military fur coat for example.

I wasnt referring to recovering accessories. I was referring to taking items like the divine veil which have an accessory attached that isnt actually an accessory. the divine veil has a divine halo attached visually, but it actually doesnt have an accessory in its top slot, which doesnt exist. I want the slot to be opened, the halo to be placed there and it being NOT recoverable, only destroyable.

You are experiencing a PICNIC ERROR!

Well builtin accessories could be salvageable...just make them bound? Naw...to complex.

Eh

Certain items are notable for their built in accessories (divine veil especially). As such, I would suggest an override to those sort of items rather than a removal of them. If you want polar devious horns on your divine veil, the divine halo would simply become invisible unless you removed the horns.

If you really just hate the halo perhaps we could have a new accessory type labeled "blank" that removes an accessory from that slot, like a blank helmet top would remove the halo. Meanwhile, if you wanted the built in divine halo back, you could "recover" or destroy the blank helmet top accessory and the built in item would come back.

that would work too. my concern is only to give players more choice, so it doesnt matter how that is accomplished.

Accessory Toggle.

Something I've wanted for years has been an accessory toggle. Either a simple 'Hide accessory' option or the ability to swap from an entire inventory of attached accessories.

Example: you could have every single aura on a piece of armor/costume but with the option to select any one at a time (without destroying them).
