Vog is supposed to be a deity of the spiral knights universe. What other deities are there? Maybe skolver? Or is that just a mythical creature? What if there were a few more deities, and we could choose to "worship" one of them to get a bonus/enhancement/extra ability? Like an extra piece of customization/character development? What would you make these bonuses to be? Of course, this question could only be answered after we clearly know more deities, that's why i am not answering it myself here.
Do you have a moment to talk about our lord and savior, Vog?
Was Vog ever described as a deity or is that something we as the players came up with because it's a 3 letter name that sounds vaguely like "God"?
The only description we have of Vog is that it's a "fire beast", for all visuals of it are in a "vog cub" form.
Another thing to keep in mind is that if Vog is for sure the creature that Vanaduke found in the mountains, then his mask resembles Vog's face. This is described on the wiki, and luckily is all text so it isn't unavailable while the wiki is freaking out.
And if the mask of Vanaduke does resemble Vog, then Vog is super ugles.
Vog is named for volcanic fog, and is called both a beast and deity in game
i dont think the game specifically says it was vog who vana met, but it seems likely with the fire theming (fehzor's story is pretty accurate, almire was being attacked so vana went into the mountains and acquired his curse somehow)
Well that's a helpful tad of information. Wasn't all that involved with the game back then, so it's nice to have an official post on that.
So Vog can be more of a fire spirit in that case? Would make sense that the mask looks nothing like a wolver, and is more in line with a phantom.
@Fangel's comment and also Meghan-Trainor
The lore about Vanduke's transformation doesn't say Vog did it, it said the god of the mountain. UNLESS Vanaduke went to a volcano, which I think are still kinda mountains, then it would fit the pieces together and then Vog would probably be responsible for Vanaduke's hate of wolves...
OR, Vanaduke went inside a mountain that was in the process of becoming a volcano (thanks to Vog, maybe?). It does say this after he was cursed: Many days later the citizens of Almire watched as fire began to erupt from the mountains.. Could be a metaphor for the mountain-volcano. Pompeii, anyone? :P
I believe since Vog is a god, then I can say that there could be a prophecy that has been made by a Stranger that roams the Clockworks. It would be how if a knight ever worn the Armor of Vog, and possessed the fire of eternal flames "Fang of Vog" the final test to show if they are worthy of possessing the gods power of great flames, the spirit will try to take control of the wearer. If the wearer has great will and can stop the control, then Vog can be tamed and give the power to the user. If the knight is weak minded with no ambition or determination, the fiery spirit will have a new body and cause chaos to the world, till a new hero rises and slays the beast once again.
The "vog" armor is actually from vog's cubs. I guess if there was only one Vog it would be hard to make all the Vog coats we see today.
On a side note I wonder how many fangs vog has. I guess Vog will just regrow them.
Oh ok so the god of the mountain. But is the god of the mountain Vog? It'd certainly make sense, considering you get "Fang of Vog" from almirian tokens.
If it came to some side story lore, then the Fang of Vog and Vog gear would have limited amounts of them around the world and the Fang of Vog would have to be something that wouldn't be easily made, having their be one true heir to posses the Fang of the beast. Considering the flame seems to never go out and can cause the user to combust if the charge is used, if the Fang of Vog was a token item, instead it would be a weapon hidden within a volcanic area (Not counting Firestorm Citadel) Possibly a temple where Vog was worshiped back in the day till it was forgotten by all the Strangers.

Ugh no please. Sounds like Black Kat Cowl 2.0
Is Vog really the only deity we know off? Are there no other?
Fire resistance low Vog doesn't care much about you.
Real talk- didn't Vanaduke go to Vog in the lore? Which is why he's like, an undying abomination that gets angry at wolves and smashes things? Like he was in two wars and needed to win so he went to the mountains or something and found a shrine to Vog and was like w/e man and gave his soul to vog and now he just kills everything? So if we worshipped Vog we'd basically end up like Vanaduke?
We'll need Novaster to clarify. The Wiki is back up but it lacks pictures now and I don't know how to read.
