Whenever I join a party lobby (the room with the lift), the game window randomly disappears, and I am unable to reopen the game without ending the process through Task Manager and restarting it. If I play the game in fullscreen, the game just freezes instead of the window disappearing.

I meet the system

I meet the system requirements, java.exe and javaw.exe are in Windows Firewall's exceptions list, and I updated Java and my video card drivers, but the game still doesn't work. Also, I'm using the Steam version. Here are my specs:

- Windows 7 64-bit
- AMD Athlon II X4 630 2.8 GHz
- ATI Radeon HD 4200
- Memory: 4 GB

Radeon cards don't play nice

Radeon cards don't play nice with this game, for whatever reason. I'm not the person who usually handles these specific graphics card issues, but this wiki page has some information to get you started.

Dissappearing windows

Same issue here, not an ATI card, steam version.

Game crashes a lot window dissappears but sound still there, I have to close the process manually from the task manager.

I wanted to get the TF2 hat but I guess it won't work well tonight

Ok, found the bug, fixed

Ok, found the bug, fixed it

First, I can't create threads so I didn't start mine

My setup:

- Steam user
- 8800GTX SLI
- Intel Core2Duo e8500
- 8GB Corsair Dominator DDR2

Anyway, game kept crashing as described, checked the logs and found that clockwork_ambient.ogg was missing, went to the folder and created a dummy ogg with that name (blank 1sec noise) and voila no more crashes on the training quest.

Moved on to Haven, went to the first quest and CRASH again

subtown_1 missing, did the same thing. Fixed. Seems steam is not fetching all the required files. I already validated and everything but won't fetch music files

Hopefully this helpsa

Yeah, that's exactly how I

Yeah, that's exactly how I got my game to work. I opened the projectx.log file in the steamapps\common\spiral knights folder, and found that clockwork_ambient.ogg was missing, so I just downloaded the web version and copied everything in the Users\windows account\AppData\LocalLow\spiral\sound\music folder, and pasted it in the steam version folder.
