So, wow I've never really posted on a forum before...huh.. Oh yeah the idea.
My idea for GH to kinda, make everyone happy with some new content that is, or should be...If the files weren't scrapped. Is for them to re-release the shrine to sleep tilesets, so that they can technically release some new content, without doing the work that comes from making new tiles and making a bunch of maps....
Ooooh, another idea I have is bow weapons! Just hear me out, they would be two handed as in no shield. (The pros dont use em anyways) They could deal more damage than guns or even swords though have an ammo system.
Each charged attack would consume 1 arrow(max arrows would change depending on the teir of the bow, 5 for 1, 10 for 2, and 15 for 3), while the non-charge attack would be a series of kicks and bowhits, that wouldnt deal alot of damage but have higher knockback.
If you'd have no arrows 1 would return every 30seconds,(ehhh time is debatable) though you would not get any more than 1 free arrow, so you'd be at 1/15 arrows.
They'd have two teirs of charge, teir 1 just shoots an arrow, the arrow itself being different depending on the bow, and teir2 would do a....basicly fire a lot of your arrows and do a cooler thing!
Melee attacks with the bow would cause enemies to sometimes drop arrows when they get hit.
Umm, whatelse....Oh yeah, the bows would deal half piercing damage, though would have enough damage to kinda...make them still useful vs the monsters that resist it, I'm looking at you jellies! exexpt the full-pierce bow, that would suck vs jellies.
Anyways, thats a couple of the ideas I have. I understand that game devs probably have a million and 1 ideas for their game, though I wanted to share these 2.

Update, 5/16/2016
Alright so first off, the reason I am updating the first post instead of just adding comments. Its well...So that you can see whatever ideas i finally decide to write down immediately instead of having to search for em.
So the new idea for this addition? Teir 4.
The whole idea i had with teir 4 is that not only would gear have better stats, they would also provide unique bonuses depending on the item, the goal being that you would want to mix-match armor to get a different play style.
There will probably be some concerns, IE, this is the same as battle sprites, or...i dunno that the idea is stupid for some supposedly well thought out reason that i will probably not heed because of my idea seeming way to cool and that whatever i am saying is somehow different than the well thought out point you bring up.
Some examples of this would be, and i will provide a short list format.
Cobalt: The Cobalt armors would provide aura-style buffs to any ally near you, to kinda play as the group leader role, no matter what you would always want a cobalt knight on your team. Buffs would be split between the Helm,Armor, and Shield. Helm giving a offensive buff(the damage up buff). While the armor would give the defense up buff. The shield would give a buff that gives more shield regen to your team.
Skelly set: The skelly sets would make you into a necro overlord! The helm would cause your attacks to mark an enemy to take more damage by you and your minion's attacks. While the armor whould cause the deaths of nearby monsters to spawn friendly skeletons to attack your enemies! While the shield would cause incoming hit to spawn friendly souls to attack!
Iron might: The Ironmight would make you into an unstoppable deadnaut...or at least a more traditional tank. The helm would limit the length of statuses, cause ya know ya gotta be there for yer buddies. The armor would reduce incoming damage by %25 before mitigation, though cause enemies to target you over your allies. The shield would work like the lockdown shield, though not give you healing.
Armor of the Fallen: The AOF armor would...Ya know it works as a theme...i'll just have to tell you its stuff. The helm would cause you to heal a portion of shadow damage you deal, nothing absurd though. While the Armor would add a portion of damage you deal as shadow damage, effectively even if you're fighting constructs you would still deal a little more damage than usual.
So those are the examples. i could think of more given time.. So come at me Fangel!...No really, you brought up some interesting points.....
Welcome to the Forums!
This would better fit in the suggestion subforum, so expect a GM to move it there soon.
As for your ideas, they are a great start, but need some development.
Glad to see you around! ~Z
