What I am Hoping to See in the Future Updates...

To be honest, new content is not really a huge concern to me if the game is completely inaccessible from the countries I commonly reside in. I have been playing since high school and now I'm in the third year of university! SK really did grow up with me.

I do not want to rant about how annoying the platform steam is, but I and many other people are probably bound to it. It is something we cannot change easily.

Lots of my older friends have left the game because it is not available in China, Hong Kong and Taiwan, on evil Steam it is. Is it because of steam itself or was it OOO's decision, since there was a GameCyber certified version... that did not really last long. It is such a pain to download at least 30 VPNs every time I have to visit relatives in China. I will moan and whine about it, now imagine the few friends from the Sinosphere still playing on steam... They have to use VPNs to access this game. I believe SK is also not available in Japan. I am too lazy to check.

So, with all that being said, and since Gamecyber SK is over, will it be possible to remove these countries from the restricted access list? Frankly due to that evil GFW in China, a VPN is still required during peak hours but I can stay up just for some SK fun.

I run a Chinese chat group and all the active members said they will come back if the restriction is removed. Are there any plans to reopen SK to these areas? I and many others would love to hear from Grey Havens.

And by the way, that is one gorgeous logo!

not Steam?

This may be an ignorant question, but can you play SK without going through Steam? That's what I do. I mean, the standalone client downloaded from the SK web site.

Hmm

Yeah, is it a steam restriction or a game restriction? From what I understand it's a steam one. Sadly you can't unbind a steam account from steam, but if your friends can try to make an account normally in a restricted area with a standalone client then that will answer the question.

Restriction issue

I am from Hong Kong and I am pretty sure that it is not SK's problem but Steam. I used VPN to get through the Steam IP check only. Just activate VPN, login steam, disable VPN and open SK.
Or simply, make a new account and don't bind it to Steam.
The SK client's restriction should be gone when TW server was dead.
