Have that favorite weapon you like and always wanted to use it no matter the monster or just want to show it off? An idea I thought of was how players can "Favorite" or "Main" a weapon. This "Favorite" system involves tagging a weapon, having players give a name to it (like how sprites can have names and be constantly changed.) customize the weapon with a different color scheme, have the weapon be shown when your in Haven on players avatars with an animation to it (Ex: Sword is on the back of a player and can be drawn within the animation, having the knight look at the sword(the animation is only active when the players stays still for atleast 5 seconds)) there will also be perks for the "Favorite" weapon of a player. Besides having the heat leveling system, there is also a "Perk" leveling system. The perks which can be gained from a player using their favored weapon, would be any UV that can be selected but can only be medium, or giving other types of attack power (Normal, Elemental, Shadow, or Pierce (Depends on what weapon it is with the specific stats it has)).
Important information
Once the weapon that has been selected as a players "favorite" it cannot be unbinded or sold ever again, this is merely for players to choose wisely and to find the weapon they really never want to lose, as if its part of their own self.
Nah... I shouldn't even have to explain why this is a bad idea, but why not.
- It's unbalanced... If you have one super weapon you woun't be as tempted to buy new ones
- People should buy new weapons, not stick to what they've got because it's better anyways.
- A lot of people would pick the wrong bonus for the wrong weapon. Those may be disscouraged to play to the extent that they quit playing.
