So right now, if you use a charge of the Magnus line and attack an enemy facing up from the side, the enemy is knocked back.
Or even worse, it can be pulled towards you if you shoot its back!

If the laws of physics somewhat apply on Cradle, shouldn't they be knocked along with the bullet?
Surely that wouldn't be too difficult to program...

It's not a glitch, the magnus has a weak knockback that causes struck enemies to play a knockback animation(they fall to their back regardless of the shot angle). A simple fix for this would be to change the magnus' knockback to be similar to Iron Slug's(which actually pushes enemies away)

Ehh, I sort of like the gameplay aspect where you get more damage on an enemy if you shoot 'em in the face. Means that you have to pick your shots a bit more carefully. Of course, it's pretty annoying if the enemies aren't actively going for you, though.

@Ze-Epik
"...
What was the complication that Nick mentioned regarding the Iron Slug buff/reimplementation?

"Basically, the tools don't currently exist in the game engine to do exactly what he wants. The original implementation was done with the tools that were available, and were not getting the results that Nick wanted. So it all comes back to getting the time to implement the new features that would be needed to do the desired implementation.

It has been over three and a half years. It is likely that it's a combination of being too difficult to achieve this particular goal and too low priority to warrant the effort.

@Dahall
I have no clue what you're talking about.
I tested the Magnus and Iron Slug charge against the zombies, firing perpendicular to their view direction. There is no difference.
What are you talking about? Magnus charge has just as much knockback as Iron Slug, and it works in the same way.
Please enlighten me.

@Qwez

Iron slug's charged shot. I've seen them used, it pushes back way too far(similar to polaris).

Do you have any of the Magnuses or Tundruses?
All of them are likely to have the same knockback properties on charge attack (I looked at the Magnus and Iron Slug yesterday, which indicates that the rest of the Magnuses are likely affected in the same way).
As I stated earlier, I tested the Magnus and Iron Slug because you said the Iron Slug charge works, but I confirmed that they are both bugged in the same way (shooting at a zombie that is perpendicular to your charge bullet causes the zombie to get knocked back in the direction of their back for both Magnus and Iron Slug).
You are misinformed.

You offend me.

I have stated already that I've witnessed their use. I will check this again in the near future.

Other Glitch

I noticed we were complaining about magnus line guns and i have some complaints myself. Anybody else have the problem that if you charge attack on slime type enemies from too close with any of the guns it doesnt hit them, knock them back, or do anything whatsoever to them?
