Know how sometimes suggestions can get a bit crazy?

Put them to the test on the testing server! Let us try out ridiculous things within a safe development budget. Irontech destroyer and big angry bomb too slow? Give them normal walking speed. Or, heck, give them 100% more damage. Why? Why not?

If ridiculous things makes items more desirable/usable, then we can fine tune a balance and then port the things over to the main game. The old radiant sun shards could make a comeback with nitronome range, wolvers could be given their tracking bite attacks back, battle sprites can be allowed in lockdown, etc. Why not make things a bit crazy to see how they work?

This. THIS, is a wonderful idea. I'd actually love to see the things that both the players and developers think up, because even if they're impractical (ESPECIALLY so), they can be patched-up for development in the actual SK universe. It would become a cluster of insanity that gradually condensed into a feature over time.

I, too, would like to see anything at all being attempted.

You are experiencing a PICNIC ERROR!

Would put the "Testing" back into "Testing Server," that's for sure.

Yeah, I like the idea. As long at it gives the devs more freedom to test things out.

My only concern is if there's some change that players feel like they'd like but the developers have some (perfectly valid) reason for deciding to cut it. This might be risky.

It's a testing server for a reason. If we really like something and it's temporary tough beans. It will give an insight into something that we really do like, and perhaps there can be a midway point. Having an active testing server as well will encourage spending to get into it, plus we can see a bunch of wacky things at once.

Stuff can be completely unbalanced for all I care, the idea is to try something out, see if it's fun, and after deciding if it's fun or not then to figure out why it's fun (ie, get player feedback on it), and then make sure the fun is reasonable (ie, instant-death gun might look fun, but would get old fast), and once reasonable, see if we can put it in the full game!

A sandbox server! Yay!

We all need sandbox servers in every game, why not for SK? I'd like to have this implemented so I can start making giant glop drops for no reason.

But besides of fun, of course we can all share our ideas of different enemies/weapons that could possibly be implemented into the game...
