When we enter the GSC, we can see some enemies/mobs sitting on chair around a table. Its gotta have a backstory.
Whats with the friendly mobs in GSC?
They got pack leaders, royal jellies commanding them to spread out into the clockworks and attack all enemies. Beasts separate from their packs for some free time. Slimes quit being the royalty's pawns for a bit to have fun. Devilites sneak out of work to go gamble their paychecks. Defective circuitry in Constructs with their AI makes them want to gamble.
That sound good enough?
Are these just theories you're saying, or are you certain that this is what happens?
I made em up. But some of them tell you not to tell anyone that they're there.
So that means they're not doing what they're supposed to and don't want anyone knowing.
There is also that blue jelly cube that dreams about building its own palace. This is a reference to the frosty ice queen ;)
All jelly cubes talk about building a palace. Not sure if lichens do too but I know all cubes do. Just a reference that there's a jelly kingdom.
Theres not only jelly cubes there, theres also the lumber, lizard, etc. I think there are basically all kinds of monsters over there, which is a bit weird, because it is after all named Golden "Slime" Casino
Just because the slimes own the casino doesn't mean the other monsters can't visit.
Everybody loves gambling... the end.
Theres a story behind everything, every material, weapon, mission. Don't you think there should be a backstory about this too? A proper one.
Most of those stories are "This is [X], it is [Y] powerful, it comes from [Z]" or otherwise "This [X] is an improvement on [Z], it is good at [A]"
I think the fact that every monster loves gambling so much that they sneak away from their normal monster activities to play the slots is plenty of fun backstory. Adds depth without putting five family lineages and a new original character in.
It's like Hubert, they're of no threat to you and you're no threat to them. It's a temporary truce to make the Mad Cash Yo.
