On May 13th, I agreed to sell user [redacted] a UV Calibur for 10,000 crowns. The relevant bazaar thread can be found here:

[redacted]'s in-game name is [redacted].
On May 14th, I offered to send the sword via in-game mail and [redacted] agreed to mail the money in return. I sent the sword the same day. [redacted] has neither responded nor sent payment. Over the last month, I have sent [redacted] several in-game mails requesting payment, and today I finally caught him online and sent him several chat messages requesting payment. Without exception, these communications have been ignored.
Obviously, my decision to trust this person was an error, but it is an error from which I urge others to learn: I have done plenty of business with trustworthy individuals during my time playing Spiral Knights, but [redacted] is most definitely not one of them. Do not expect this player to treat your agreements as anything other than an opportunity to rip you off, and do not trust him to honor any trade conducted via mail or any agreement which involves him temporarily taking possession of your things.
Do not trust [redacted]. He has stolen from me and I cannot help but think that he would steal from any of you, as well.
[EDIT: While I understand your frustration, and it is cathartic to vent, please do not use the forums to name and shame, or for any issue that should be reported in-game to the GMs, as per the forum guidelines.]
Never send what they want first - always wait for money first or do in person.
