i suggest we have mini games. energy takes time to regenerate, i get that. but, i don't wanna run around being bored the whole time.
there is only so much fun you can squeeze out of snipe herding and messing around in the the advanced training area.
with mini games, people who don't have enough energy will have some level of entertainment while they wait until they can go on another trip to the clockworks, maybe even have it so they can get prizes like some money or unique equipment, maybe even some mist tanks or mini mist tanks.

I like this idea. Mini games would add a bit of fun to Spiral Knights, and maybe they could have leaderboards. By the end of the month, whoever has the top score on the leaderboard gets a free mist tank or a random prize.

Unless they're driven by Crowns (or, heaven forbid, energy), I can't see prizes being given out, at least not ones that actually affect gameplay (like Mist Tanks). Frankly this whole idea strikes me as rather pointless; if I want to play other games while I'm waiting for my ME to recharge, I...have other games.

well, a lot of people disagree with you, like the people who while they're waiting do nothing but sit in front of the auction house staring at their bids. the thing is, its kinda frustrating to have to go back and forth between spiral knights and other games. when i decide to play a game, I'm ready for an hour or so of gameplay. instead, i get like a half hour, then mist energy is done. so I'm left with nothing to do, because mentally i want to play spiral knights, but i cant. that's the issue I'm talking about.

and as for prizes, i was more refering to the idea that it would be free, but get perhaps some crowns for your time, and if nothing else at least pass the time for us. tho altio's idea of a leader board isn't a bad idea either.

Mini games would be really nice, maybe something similar to Spanish Inquisition's endgame quest: "capture" every single snipe on town square, by putting them inside the little garden.
Also, mini-games as the new crown sink. Problem solved!

you know how many of us like to burn the newbies up with the fire jar in the training?
it would be cool to have a mini game to be able to battle other knights; or to just run around beating
monsters from the clockworks around to get new strategies! THAT would act more like a
REAL training room, rather than a game tutorial*, which i think the advance training hall should be really called...
i HIGHLY doubt that the dev team? GM? or sega? or OOO? will award any minigame with a mist tank or unique equipment
but giving a little amount of crowns would be awesome. i do think that the mist tank recharging time could also be lowered like
i dont know... maybe 10 minutes for 1me? or maybe a little less like to be an extremist 5 minutes for 1me? that would be good
for people who dont want to feel they are playing a 1 hour free to play game every 24 hours! or any other player for that matter.
also that leader board seems to me like a pretty darn good idea!
