Let's say you pay 4000 energy for a slot in a Margel fight (apparently the market value, according to some merchant).
You now have a Wicked Whisker.
With this Whisker, you can either get:
3* Black Kat Cloak
- +3 Damage for swords
- +3 Damage for guns
- +3 Damage for bombs
- +1 MSI
- -2 Shock
- -2 Fire
- A couple of other weaknesses nobody gives a dang about
or I can get
3* Kat Hiss Cloak
- +1 CTR for bombs
- -2 Shock
- -1 Curse
What the hey? How come the 3* Black Kat gets all of the power of the 5* Black Kat when Kat Hiss doesn't? They both require the same amount of grinding. In fact, Black Kat is easier to get because if you happen to find a book for yourself, you get the 5* right away.
There's three ways to fix this. The first is to make Kat Hiss raiment easier to get by removing the whiskers requirement and having it craft for Kat Tribe Fetishes just like its hats.
The second is to buff Kat Hiss by letting the armour keep both CTR and Damage from 3*. I would also add MSI to justify the shock-weakness balance-wise.
The third is to nerf 3* Black Kat by giving it only +1 Damage at 3* and +2 Damage at 4*.
I would apply all three of them, personally.
