This mission is basically unplayable after 2 plateaus. It goes from playing just perfect to freezing every 3 seconds to the point where I can't even free any lost souls.

This mission is basically unplayable after 2 plateaus. It goes from playing just perfect to freezing every 3 seconds to the point where I can't even free any lost souls.
I'm in my third floor of an arcade run right now, and still only using 600mb...
It's just the Apocrea mission. There has been a memory leak for a while they never fixed. Only thing you can do is give the game more ram through extra.txt but that just delays the time before you have to restart.
So, not only does the harvester drain our knights of their HP, they also drain our CPU out of their rams, now that is creepy.
I tried following all the steps and making extra.txt and when I did the game couldn't even launch at all...
Do you know how much memory Spiral Knights uses when doing other levels/missions, such as a Clockwork Tunnels, Graveyard, or FSC level? Because 800 MiB to run a game doesn't seem like much to me in 2016.
Lots of players have reported performance problems with the Grasping Plateau, but I wonder whether they are because of something other than memory usage.
