Ahem~
Alright. Now that the game is back in the hands of Grey Havens, its time to bring back the sleep status.
If you remember, the game used to include a sleep status, however, it was removed from the game at some time.
I think it would be a wonderful re-addition to the game, and here's why:
-It would make sleep armors useful again!
There are currently armors in the SK arsenal, for example, the Royal Jelly set, that grants a resistance to sleep status. However, since there is no sleep status in the game, this resistance is completely wasted, and reduces the value of these armors, except for costume purposes.
-It would provide some nice enemy and level reskins
After taking a look at some of the old sleep enemies and levels, i think it would be great if we could get them back! I really enjoyed the look of the old Slooms (the sleep-inflicting slimes) and sleep levels. If you want a good example of what a sleep level looked like back in the day, take a look at the last level of the mission "In Cold Blood".
-Reworking how sleep status affects knights
Sleep status currently affect monsters by putting them into a sleep-like trance, then healing them while they sleep. Not too bad, a nice balanced trade off between allowing the monsters to heal, but also keeping them put while you chip away at their health. I think it would be more incentive for players to want sleep resistant gear if it only freezes them in place, and healing them very little, if at all. Knights with powerful gear could abuse this status, using it to heal if it is set to its default. However, if they are frozen in place, with no ability to attack, it would be a more intense freeze status.
Either way, it would be a nice re-addition to the game.
A while back I posted an in-depth suggestion on how I'd like to see Sleep reworked and reintroduced. I'm all for it making a comeback, as long as it's not in its old form when it happens.
