Just a quick suggestion because the shadow and the elemental family have their respective healers.

It shoots spikes that don't do much damage but knock you back quite a bit and well, heal enemies...

Maybe it is able to warp itself from time to time like a wolver.

Give it a distinctive color like blue or white and we are set.

Slimes heal by merging. And

Slimes heal by merging.

And cubes...are 1337 and hire butterfies to heal em. Only their King can heal itself by consuming lesser ones. And im completely ok with that.

Yes, lichen can already heal

Yes, lichen can already heal doing that, you're right, but I find it odd how Silkwings, being fiends, are used for healing beasts and both, regular slime-cubes and lichens, anyways.

JK is something apart, I'm talking about regular clockworks encounters.

Do you really have a problem with monsters healing monsters?

I don't need Polyps to be more annoying than they they already are.

If you put it that way, I

If you put it that way, I guess I have.

I'm not talking about having every single polyp doing that either.

I'm just trying to introduce mechanics that do not solely consist of go kill that mender/moth as fast as you can:
One or two polyps max per encounter to not unleash the ultimate healing danmaku.
You can block out the spikes to prevent healing - which is something that until now is only possible with poison or concentrated anti-mender bashing.

The warping is there to prevent just that, but not as strong as with an wolver. Could warp one or two times during a fight.

Slimes and beasts are paired together and I try to build upon that to make those families seem to have a connection like gremlins and constructs.
It was somewhere said the 'lisks eat slimes, maybe we could create some symbiotic connection with wolvers for them.
At least a vague one, like suggested.

Hmm

I actually saw an idea for a flower healer a while back that would burrow and pop up, shooting spikes like polyps that heal, or perhaps shoot a sun beam at a target to heal them. I think that might work a bit better, as the healing applies to all monsters, not just slimes (polyp healer would shoot fiends with healing barbs, which wouldn't make much sense).

The plant could even uproot itself and move around, but plant itself to heal others.

And shoots seeds to plant clones of itself.

Maybe not.
