Once I started playing and found out about sprites I was so exited, but sprites then followed to be only 3 giving limited option and then we also have 5 gem colors making 2 basically rubbish; I remember back in my childhood, SEGA (cough cough, You guys) added a little thing called Chaos to the Sonic games, and they where fucking awesome as you had to raise them and give them their identity by leveling and using diferent types of gems, I was basically thinking that why don't you include this type of development around sprites, you start with a normal sprite and then you go definine his skills and characteristic depending on what color crystals you are feeding him, allowing you to have your personal little sprite the way you like. IMO that would just finish completing the game for me, cause I do find it awesome (ouh and also, that would stop making me feel like taking a green/blue gem is a waste of time)

Leave Chaos away from this game. Do you even know why the sprites turned into what they were?
When I first read Chaos I thought you meant the evil Chaos and were gonna have a giant evil amoeba take over Haven.

Blazecat, you're a genius!
AN AMOEBA SPRITE! OF COURSE!
Wait . . . that's just a slime . . .
I'll be over there in the corner
This game is no longer developed by OOO, and thus not by SEGA. New owners are Grey Haven.
While I understand that this is not quite the way you want you actually can customaize a sprite by feeding it, but it's more by chosing ultimates.
This idea, while actually quite poorly presented, does have an advantage over introducing two new sprites, which is that you give all of the minerals a use without causing players who have already picked a sprite to possibly regret their descision. I don't know if I like it though, it could be better elaborated and could use more full stops and paragraphs. I see you using a semicolon there.
Some things you could explain is how will different minerals affect sprites. How will their appearance change? How will their abilities change?
This is a quite original idea for a mechanic (well, inspired by Sonic, but whatever) and I'd love to see this more elaborated, but as it looks now I don't really know what it does.
