How would you feel about updating most of the armor sets to have some extra usefulness only when inside lockdown. Lets say give salamander armor + 1bonus damage ( per piece)to anyone wearing wolver, or another salamander armor ( to go in line with dealing extra damage to beasts).

Maybe slow your attack speed if you hit someone wearing jelly armor ( cuz theyre all sticky , ya know)

Give plate mail armor a chance to fully absorb 1 hit.

I wont go on into specifics since I am fairly inexperienced in LD, but the main point is to give the less commonly used items some love and attention and bring more people into LD.

thoughts/opinions/ got your own pvp armor change ideas? please post em!! :D

most of the armors that are bad in LD are bad outside of LD.

Big thing is that monster family damage bonuses should become class damage bonuses. Fiend/beast would be striker, slime/gremlin would be recon, undead/construct would be guardian. That makes specialist gear have good damage boosts against certain enemies but not others, as well as gives a use for damage UVs on gear.

I would like to agree but i

I would like to agree but i think they need first to find ways to improve LD and give motive for players to play again.Tier 2 is dead and only Tier 3 in Usa works.Nothing will not be so important if they dont revive the LD.I think a good idea would be different krogmo rewards than the same we have all those years.Maybe different krogmo for tier 2?Maybe will give motive to make tier 2 alive again and make new players starting to play.Cause tier 3 LD for a new player is chaos.Sorry to be out of subject i agree with ur ideas and i am backing up but i just think they need to work firstly in that aspect in order to revive LD.Anyways +1 in ur idea they could make some armors more usefull.

I'd personally like to see

I'd personally like to see the armor's 'family type' be dependant on what kind of materials are used to make it; a Bronze Bolt would go towards being a Construct, while a Royal Skewer would add a point towards being a Slime.

Let the item recipes decide this sorta thing, rather than guess what should be what.

Gonna reinstate it again - when you add too many variables into the equation it gets really difficult really fast to determine things. Salamander is good against slimes but if you make it only good against jelly armors, it's equally as useless. Valkyrie won't be any more useful unless you make kat armors fiend, and they're more undead related. Dragon scale might be nice until they stop being wolvers.

I have personally dabbled with this idea so much and concluded that class bonuses (ex. Damage Bonus vs Strikers: medium) would be suitable. Beast/fiends are very fast and jumpy enemies, making them the "striker" affected class. Constructs/undead are large and tanky, making them the "guardian" affected class. Gremlins/slimes are in-the-middle and sneaky, making them the "recon" affected class.

At this point you don't need to rely on other people using specific and potentially obsolete armors just to make yours viable, doesn't make you have to memorize anything super big (heck, the monster types I listed are separated into damage type weaknesses), and additionally uses a feature currently in the game (family bonuses).

Nice job Fangel. I like your simplified idea of the 3 lockdown classes acting as monster types :) +1

+1 to Fangel, his ideas on

+1 to Fangel, his ideas on class bonuses are good. Would this mean certain classes would resist damage as well, or just weaknesses?

just weakness

It means nothing towards defense of certain damage types (ie, piercing on a skolver striker won't do more damage than against a recon skolver), however adding monster family bonuses that go against the classes means they'll always be useful. It also means your damage bonus VS beasts on your divine avenger isn't actually all that bad, especially if you wear vog cob. Suddenly, you can deal high damage VS a certain class in lockdown without needing rarer UVs. It also means more defensive sets and specialist lines will be genuinely useful.
