Last time I played was probably over a year ago now, just before the gunner update if I remember correctly. Back with a new laptop and fresh install. Got most of my preferred keybindings back. Problem is, I don't seem to be able to bind left shift for shield? I could swear that's what I used, but is it not the case?

There's a modifier key which acts like a shift key, I think it's on shift by default, if it is then change it to something else and then you can bind shift again.
