It feels like item drops are unbalanced. You get so many of these multi-colored crystals way too often, but you never get any advanced or elite alchemy orbs out there. I am a knight elite so I cant go into tier 3 or anything like that, so Im kinda stuck on this rank and cant move up.

Whenever I get money on my steam account, I always forget about spiral knights untill all the money is gone, and I cant get energy to buy anything
I need in spiral knights.
I want more balanced drops. I need to not spend 3 years trying to rank up. I spend 3 YEARS trying to even get to rank knight elite. I dont want to take 3 more years to get to rank 7. whatever it is. Im not current most of the time.

SOMEONE GIVE ME ADVICE OR WHATEVER!

Rush Sewer Stash's first depth on Elite. Run past all enemies if possible and nab any treasure you can. After reaching the elevator, restart the mission. This gives the elite orbs you probably want.
I don't have a solution for advanced orbs though...

So your fundamental complaint is that Orbs of Alchemy are too rare. That is a common complaint. We can talk about whether it's true and whether the game should be changed, but you might be more interested in how to get Orbs in the game as it is:

Your other comments boil down to playing SK less often than other games, so that you spend years making slow progress and you never have any real money to spend. I can't help you with that. Cheers.

Your best bet is saving your crowns, then buying 400 energy and buying the 3 orbs off the supply depot.

I've found frostfur fandango to be pretty good for advanced orbs, The jelly arena mission right before RJP is pretty good as well, can't remember the name to save my life though.

@op:

just play the game, elevators are free. Do t2 arcade or missions. You can either run through the above listed missions, breaking all the boxes and restarting, or save up cr for the orbs.
