We love lag.
Australia
we need more love for us downunder <3
You're just lucky they don't draw your knights upside down.
>>they don't draw your knights upside down.
THREE RINGS. Make this happen when you've got a minute to spare (trolololol~<3 )
sheesh guys how long has this game been out? i hardly think they would have a server everywhere at this time
i play from australia, i don't experience any lag whatsoever o_o
and plus it's not that important in a game like this.
it is in however, bloodline champions which i have stopped playing for a while due to delay :x
do you have more than one red bar for your connection and have no issues getting through T3 or FSC to the core?
iYeo. Have you beaten Vanaduke before?
One of his phases warps your camera into something reminiscent of a curtain fighter game. It's highly likely that I just suck, but I believe that no matter how experienced you are, dodging is near impossible when you have even a minor 0.5 second delay. Generally, Australian connections have latency bars that are permanent red dots, this actually means we have a ping of over 200. Or was it 300?
Either way, the majority of us get a delay of about 1-2 seconds and some probably even more.
Yes, this is bearable. That's why I'm still here after all.
Yes, blocking is not impossible. You just gotta remember the individual monster attack patterns and their general range.
No, having no lag IS important. I'm sure I don't have to go into details of the disadvantages Australian's would have if PvP were to be released.
Anyways, I understand the admins may have plans and other big things on their mind. I just wanted to make a little reminder that us Australians are outback trailing just a little bit behind everyone else.
say it ain't so, i'm moving to australia in a few weeks and now I'm fearful it'll be lag city for me everyday.
guess i can only play at the datacenter ;?
If you are referring to things such as Internet Cafes etc. It won't help. If anything the latency you'll get will be far worse depending on the place you go to. This is due mostly to the fact that, despite having a better connection then most households, it is shared between 10-20 computers. This is a personal opinion, but I've never found Internet Cafes to be any better then my own connection.
I'm currently running on an Optus 1TB Cable connection + Speed Boost Pack. The only thing faster would be people with ADSL 2+ and have a house located right next to their service provider. If you're lucky you might end up in a household with that connection. If you're even luckier, you might get 2 bars of latency! It's unheard of for Australians, but you could be a first!
Anyways, in the very likely event that you end up with crappy internet with epic shield and attack delays, you will just have to get used to it. When you move back and get your good connection, you might find yourself an absolute pro.
Good Luck.
We want new server hosts for the stupid foreigners we are!
make at least one server on each continent, its not so expensive..
I reckon that the lag we get is a combination of multiple things:
- the game's java environment;
- unoptimised code (?);
- computer's overall performance;
- computer's network hardware;
- connection speed from you to your service provider;
- distance from a major city or what state you're in;
- and the location of the SK server you are connecting to.
So, just changing one of these variables (the last one) won't necessarily change your 'Online Experience'. I say give the suggestion of an Australian Server and leave it at that. They have people in their head office to deal with things like this and we can't influence whether they add a Server or not.
Agreed. Love for a more localised server to be put it. Even if based in a location like Singapore it would shave a good 200ping off the lag time.
And latency
