Game not connecting to server?

My game has been failing to connect to the server for about 30 minutes, at first I thought it was just a random update or server maintenance, but it seems kinda long.
By the way, I'm using Steam, if that helps anything.

Same here. I am trying to connect for over an hour now. Fun fact: my friend is sitting next to me, same internet connection, playing...
First the game was not able to connect to the server, then there was an update-message and now the connection-issue again...
Tried to reboot my PC, tried another internet connection, tried to relaunch steam... nothing works...
So if anybody knows how to handle this, pls tell me :D

Managed to log in but I'm stuck at the going to ready room screen can't get pass it....... life

what did you do to get a connection? Just kept on pushing the login-button?

my friend is still sitting next to me, playing without any issues... and all I can do is watch her having fun xD

I reach the character selection menu
I can reach the menu but when i try to login to one of the characters it never happens -_-

The cause?
You'd think the issue would be fixed after like 5 hours, does anyone have any idea what it might be?
Might be a big update, seeing some posts here that it's "updating"
Also heard it had to do with the new Asian servers.
Any other clues to go by?

Update on issue present after 4 hours of trying back and forth
got this at my log in as im typing.
"either there's is a temporary network outage or the server is not yet fully operational. Please wait a moment before logging in"

it's obviously the latter the server is screwed....

so from all the gathered
so from all the gathered clues all we have concluded is
they were removing restrictors on the servers for the asian region. and they broke everything.
the few lucky ppl able to to log on when this happened confirmed that the majority of users connected were all from the asian region that was previously restricted.
others figured out that if you managed to load into the character selection to pick your second character if you have one and log into that. should be able to atleast fully load into ready room even luckier to load into haven if not you should be able to load into missions.(still laggy as hell). about to be at 5 full hrs since the "update" ....
as for new servers ... i doubt it.... im sure the just re assigned everything and thats what messed everyone else up.

yea im sure some servers are
yea im sure some servers are running decently but still down for quite a bit of us. myself in west-usa and a friend in eu ... some friends in australia can connect now. one of em only still to his alt... so just waiting on the rest of the servers to be back up and running.... apparently auctions have resumed about an hr ago so rip those of you still not able to log in and were bidding on stuff Q.Q

said the game was updating but tried a few mins later the message changed and not able to connect to server and I am a steam user too!
Issue previously occured 4hours back but when I tried 1hr back it recurred and after a while i manage to get in the server however after a few mins of game play i literally got kicked from the server and the game freezed whenever i started it and when i reinstalled i stil cant log on to the server
Still fails to connect to server
