I just wanted to ask a few questions and rant a bit.

So to start off I was wondering why they released it so early and why they released it while another event (I know it is a small event) was going on?

And now for my mini rant that probable no one cares about.
It really annoys me that they put the event out early because based on the other events it should have gone out around late august / early to late September. I am not that rich so I had a plan to same up all my crowns to buy a book during the event if I could not find one and based on my calculations I might have had enough if they released the event in late august or early September. But now that they put the event out early 1. I have nowhere near enough to buy a book and 2. I am on vacation right now and won't be back for another 2 weeks so there is no way of me grinding out to try and find one, and since I am not able to play there isn't even a way for me to get the 3* helmet which makes me even more mad because now I will have to wait another 6 months to have a chance at getting a kat armor.

I know no one really cares about what I think but I just wanted to voice my opinion and you have no idea how frustrating it is for the devs to put an event early that you need to grind your butt off or be super ritch to get anything good.

I understand your frustration. Missing an event can be a big disappointment. I've missed several events (and legendary bugs, that were patched before I could encounter them).

But Grey Havens has not broken any promise to you. There is not really any standard time interval between these events. In the past, the time intervals have ranged from 4 to 9 months. This one is 5 months after the previous one --- not abnormal or surprising.

Rotational events happen, but at random. We cannot predict when they come around, and no matter what there will always be someone inconvenienced by the timing of an event.

At this point I've lost count of threads like this. Someone is always too busy to farm an event when it comes around - meanwhile hundreds of other players have open schedules and are able to farm.

We've all got lives that we live, and things won't always go our way. That's just life, and it's better to come to terms with it than get outraged every time something isn't going your way. You'll burn yourself out when something worthy of outrage rolls around.

What legendary bugs are you talking about? The one I can think of that you would be sad about missing is when the shrines of slumber managed to rotate into the clockworks for a day or two.

About the bugs, let's see:

Shrine of Slumber
Prismatic Bolted Vee incident
That one glitch where you joined on people out of the map

Those are the only 3 I can think of that I was around for. However not being around for the old radiant sun shards does make me a bit sad to have never experienced them.

sorry for the late response but as I said before I am on vacation :)

I understand that it isn't really an early release but to me it seems a little early lol.

They would never do this but it would be nice if Spiral knights (or any other game) would let you know like a month before a event gets put out, of course I wouldn't want them to tell us when new events are coming out but it would be very nice if they would tell us when old events are about to be released.

Best bug I remember is 2012 you could buy 100 CE, but the market would add like 500 or 800 instead. Was fixed within the hour, but not before some much enjoyed energy buying. Spending 18k and getting like 1k E was fun....

I'm angry there's no notification about the event except in the forums. I don't check the forums every day, and I already missed out on several days of the event. The game itself doesnt even tell me, either on the news or the mail!

Also it ends way too short! only ten days?!

No, that was the 3 star. And it caused fire so rarely that you'd have to be completely comatose to die from it.

Yeah, the damage was meaningless, but it was great for giving people a scare!
