Ever since the very first event of the black kats came out I have always wondered what a fetish was. Now I know the term everyone is thinks of when they first hear it, but that's a sexual interest towards something, and that's an emotion. The latest fetish is a material, and has to be an object, and emotions are not objects, so what else can a fetish be?

A fetish is a magical item. Essentially an idol or object worshiped because it's thought to be magic or holds some sort of spiritual connection.
A real life example might be something like a talisman or a rabbit foot charm.
In the game, a "kat tribe fetish" is a good luck charm that the kat tribe brought into battle. Think of it like the kat version of the "maiden's tear" for almirian warriors.

A fetish is, in the most laconic manner to put it, a charm. Something that is worshipped by the eyes of a specific individual. In this case, an artifact and trinket* for Kats from an ancient time when their tribe was still alive and active.
*Not an actual trinket, but it might as well should have been as it is.

I still would rather call it a "Kat Tribe Relic" or something that sounds a little less...bizarre.
Then again, I'm sure that the devs knew what they were doing/suggesting when they chose to call them "Kat Tribe Fetishes." They were probably quite the aggressive group, after all...
