So this kat event I decided to record my no-lifing for science. Here's my breakdown:
- Day 1
- Had 1793 pages at the start. 1926 at the end. 43 kats found.
- Day 2
- Had 1926 at start. 2131 at the end. 67 kats found.
- Day 3
- Had 2131 at start. Fought margrel. 2306 at the end. 55 kats found.
- Day 4
- Had 2306 at start. Fought margrel. 2490 at the end. 58 kats found.
- Day 5
- Had 2490 at start. Missed one page. 2643 at the end. 50 kats found.
- Day 6
- Had 2643 at start. Fought margrel. 2815 at the end. 56 kats found.
- Day 7
- Had 2815 at start. Found book @2896. 3002 at end. 61 kats found.
- Day 8
- Had 3002 at start. Fought 2 margrels. Bought 3 fetishes. Didn’t run prestige mission. 2984 at end. 40 kats found.
- Day 9
- Had 2984 at start. 3087 at the end. 33 kats found.
- Day 10
- Had 3087 at start. Fought margrel. Found book @3293. Ran 2 days of prestige. 3296 at end. 65 kats found.
- Day 11
- Had 3296 at end. 3494 at the end. 66 kats found.
Total kats: 594
Total pages earned: 1,851
Total kats bugged/unable to reward rewards: 1

527 kats for book 2
If anyone else has been keeping track of data stuff that'd be great too. All I can say is that persistence is a heck of a drug.

no exact data
i just count my pages i get from kats and remove the prestige pages. that puts me at about 370 kats killed.
got 1 book at the very start after like 40 kats killed. 2 guildies got books with me.
also found 6 mewkats and 8 love puppies. no rare drops for me but a guildie got ghostly aura.
all events combined im at about 1670 kats killed and 2 books found. rng is fun. took about 1200 kats to find the first book.

Got a book at roughly 18
Got a book at roughly 18 hours apart for each (times are back-calculated because of the error introduced from not being a robot), or about every 145 black kats, up until book 4. Book 5 came rather more readily, at roughly the 80-hour mark, or about 648 black kats, and book 6 was a pleasant surprise after sparking to pick up some pages at the 83-hour mark.
Amusingly, it put me at 1632 pages. (One internet for anyone who gets the reference without Googling.) Figured it was the RNG telling me it was time to stop.
I don't recall the number of pages I had at the outset, but it was less than 200 and I know how many I spent, so a total of 667 kats, 2001 pages, and 6 books this event should be a reasonable estimate.
I didn't keep track of my progress too meticulously, but I started with 69 pages and found a book at 869 pages.
The difference isn't divisible by 3 due to prestige and Margrel Runs.
I grinded all the way to 2308 pages without finding a second.
Using calculations by subtracting pages obtained from Margrel runs, prestige, and the tokens I had before the event, I had killed a total of 719 kats with one book found.
Was frustrating to get 1500 more pages without finding a second book, but that's just bad luck on my part.
