Im new to spiral knights and i love the game so far but one thing about this game makes me a bit sad/upset. The whole you need energy to play the game concept kind of sucks. All i want to do is play with friends for as long as i want and be able to have fun. Im sure theres a reason for it but thats why i made this thread.

You can play as much as you want. You just have to get adequate energy. The reason for the energy system is because Three Rings wants you to buy it from them. That's how they get money off of the game. A starter pack that includes 7500 energy costs $20.
As you willl get further in the game ana i mean gaining acces to Tier 2 depths,
you and your friend swill be able to be self-sufficient for the energy and even make cash/energy
by selling drops on the AH or in some cases even only with the crowns drops which means you get all materials for free.
The Jelly King palace for example is a good starter place on T2.
so basically it will be
- spend 100 mist and win lets say 5k crowns
-then buy 100 crystal energy with 3,5k crowns
-u won 1,5k crowns
-repeat and enjoy !!!!!!
while this method makes you able to play a whole day you wont get cash realy quickly
that's why poeple consider buying energy with real money because crafting requires a lot.
