Currently, the Wiki Support Portal section on Reporting Players (http://wiki.spiralknights.com/Complain) includes this as a bullet point:
"Wrong trade* — Because Game Masters can't know what the agreement with the trade was, they are not able to assist players in this aspect of the game and do not recover items for players. Try to talk to the other player and work it out instead. Please remember in the future to be careful and never trade anything away unless you would be okay with the other player not returning the item."
When I recently ended up on the wrong side of a bad trade, I looked at this particular page to see if filing a complaint or support ticket would be a legitimate option, and this text seems quite clearly to state that it is not. Instead, then, I posted a thread about my experience in the general discussion forum, as that seemed the only recourse. I was informed:
"While I understand your frustration, and it is cathartic to vent, please do not use the forums to name and shame, or for any issue that should be reported in-game to the GMs, as per the forum guidelines."
and
"If you file a support ticket, the GMs may be able to assist you."
by an Admin (nick).
As this information is specifically and directly contrary to the line in the Wiki, I think perhaps the wiki ought to be changed to reflect Three Rings's actual policy with regards to this issue. The extant entry led me quite straightforwardly to what appears to be the wrong conclusion, so I figured I'd toss it out there as an issue for you wiki editors to consider.
Thanks,
LoW
It was taken directly from the complain screen dialogue. I'll move this thread to Bug Reports.
