I want to buy a new mouse cause my other mouse is 3 years old and its scroll is broken, right click is highly inconsistent (my guess is voltedge charge spamming in fsc) I changed attack to middle button but thats now in thesame case. U want to learn how to shield switch etc and its difficult using whats left that I can rely on. So, Im thinking of buying the Speedlink Calado Silent, but not sure if its good for the game. If there are better mice do tell, but it has to be below the 25 euro mark. Site to reference price : mediamarkt.nl (its in dutch but you're mostly seeing the price if you know good ones)
Is it good enough?
Get a Logitech G502 if you can afford it, IMO it's the best all around mouse.
EDIT: nvm too pricey disregard
You must have interesting abilities @Bopp, im getting a mouse anyway, but I wouldnt mind seeing what you use on that one button mouse. Also, @Fruitalicious that is so expensive xD.
I'm talking about the mice that come with Apple computers. The ancient Mighty Mouse was high on quality but low on features. The newer (but still old) Magic Mouse was high on quality and features. Both work for Spiral Knights.
In the past I've also used Logitech mice with pleasure, but something cheaper should be quite adequate, as Fruitalicious said.
Movement: WASD
Pickups: QERT or QERF
Sprite skills: ZXC
Weapon switching: shift, sometimes scroll wheel
Shield: space
Attack/action: mouse button and V
Facing: mouse movement
Dash: Control-mouse
Bash: Control-space
The foregoing setup works my keyboard hand much more than my mouse hand. My mouse hand bears the additional responsibility of a beverage.
When bombing, facing is not important. So I sometimes use V for attack/action, letting my mouse hand focus on the beverage.
oh boy das edgy. but seriously, it took me forever to use wasd move and x shield, now its all of that? ill pass. I think ill use:
left mouse attack
right mouse shield
wasd movement
scroll weapon change
and the other stuff should be normal.
im also thinking of getting a 2nd hand ps3 controller, it might make it easier or more interesting.
While you wait for other answers, I'll just say: I play on a one-button mouse sometimes, and on a trackpad sometimes. So I don't see how your mouse can't be good enough. Cheers.
