I'll just shotgun these. I assume that these are take very little technical skill to implement.

  • Do official live streams. Come on, guys, you're managing a community! Interact a little more, please!
  • Update your credits (both in game and on the wiki). This can't be too hard, and, as they say, "give credit where credit is due."
  • Update the website. This really should just involve swapping out some images (in the media section) and updating some text (in the About section). If you need more images, just pull a few screenshots off the Steam site.
  • Send mail to ALL of the players whenever there's a new event on the forums. Get more people participating!

Come on, GMs, at least try to promote your game a little more. I really appreciate the contests, but it would be great if more players could at least know that they exist. As the GMs, you can advertise easier than anyone else in the game. And, no, showing up in Haven every 6 months doesn't really count.

I would like to see these ideas implemented in their heads. GMs ought to be more active ( like maybe visiting once a week or something like that. ) Just to ensure that everyone knows some people still care for this game, (like we all do ). Though I would think they'd need a way to differentiate themselves, like having a guild name named GMs, or something like that. I'm relatively sure they always send news events for new upcoming events in the Spiral Knights hub whenever you log in.

Differentiating GM's

Just google something like "Spiral Knights GM Vana" and the first few videos that pop up should show some GM with some ways to differentiate them. For example, Hyperion has the tags: Hyperion, and under it *Game Master*, and is in the guild Three Rings.

Edit: Also to respond to the actual thread, I agree with all of the last 3 points, but I think that while it would be nice to have some more communication, streaming isn't exactly the way I would go at it (except for maybe things like showing off updates- that would be really cool). More update forum posts (not necessarily just actual content updates, but updating us on plans/progress on content) would be sufficient, and it's always cool to see a GM in-game.

huh

Speaking of updating the media page, it looks like the prologue video is no longer on display - and instead the promotional video has taken back the reins as the "latest video" on the media page and main page. Perhaps the video was taken down by SEGA now that they don't own Spiral Knights anymore?

Or perhaps we'll get another video promotion for a new update. That would be super cool.
