I find it deceivingly uncongruous how you push so eloquently for the untapped potential of Spiral Knights, including the Silver Keys (for cosmetics) yet stop dead on track at the price for Shadow Keys (for integral gameplay content).
My goodness, the servers' struggles really are aggravating. My apologies for the double comment.
I recommend you allow people to find your thread on Suggestions, and you leave it at that. What St John said already is right, this has all already been discussed in Suggestions.
P.S. Ninja-Kong I hope you don't bombard people with your opinions like you did to me in-game today. You are screaming 'fire!' in a burned down theater.
Yea I'm pretty sure that the game is perfect and that you're just wrong in your opinions. I really can't criticize our developers.
If you want to talk about this with me further you're welcome to come onto my discord but that's all I'm going to say here.
spyro knight is a bad zeldo ripoff 0/10 forge has no progress value whatsoever and all events are bad since they involve grinding
rip sk was a good game until devs did something i didn't like
On a serious note, though, much of what you've suggested makes at least a little sense. However, just because it isn't in the game or suitable to your wants for additions doesn't make it a bad game on the whole.
Yes I think we can all agree that SK was indeed great until developers decided to add content to it while staying truthful to most (if not all) core mechanics. 10/10
The developers have a reputation of being quirky and off-schedule. Not really a terrible thing as long as it's on their own terms, though, but there are some changes that could be reverted.
Everything that's been added recently has been fun or at least a crown sink people were willing to fill, though, so there's no faulting them for development at the present.
Far as what's being addressed in the linked post, I'll run down the list:
Forge mechanics are meant to slow players down. The old heat system was balanced by not being able to use elevators freely; removal of the forge would mean grinding the Citadel for maybe a week, and bam. Everything's lv10 without pretty much any effort.
Revival mechanics I can agree with, and changes to those have been discussed in the forums many times over. However, keep in mind that the Emergency Revive balances that out a small bit; 2010 was far less forgiving to players in terms of how good at PvE you had to become.
Concerning Shard Bombs, invincitinks need to die. And yes, they are very underwhelming with their performance. There are a handful of broken weapons in the game, and shard bombs are up there.
Key prices are fine where they're at. Though perhaps lower-tier Keys should be added that cost less but yield less expensive items from lockboxes.
Overall bomb damage should be buffed; you're correct on that. The way bombs work in Spiral Knights is an oddity, as they deal less damage than a sword in the time it takes to charge/place them. Even with CTR reduction, damage output is about the same as a single sword-slash. I say this with a disclaimer, however; the area damage that bombs deal is enormous compared to single-point damage of swords, thereby catching more foes in the blast. The collective damage output of a full appropriate-star sword combo would be about as high as bomb damage should reach
The Prize Wheel could use slightly higher rewards, but only in deeper Tiers. Further, you can't ask too much from a wheel you get at the end of every level. It's common/free stuff.
Shields that give bomb/gun boosts would be interesting, like the Mortafire shield/etc. The only flaw there is that you don't actually use a shield while gunning, and bombs just push enemies back most of the time. I'd say at maximum they'd have to be a 3* gimmick like Swiftstrike.
Dual wielding swords? Sure, if you tweaked shield mechanics a little. Dual wielding guns would get kind of sticky when you're looking at controls. How would you shield? With two guns it's somewhat impossible. Dual-wielding bombs would yield an impressive damage output, but again, there's no way to shield, plus the fact that certain types would't work together (shivermist/agni, Nitro/Graviton, etc)
So again, everything you've said makes at least a little sense. However, the perspective of game balance/universal functionality needs to be utilized when you suggest changes like pricing, RNG, or mechanics that might look good at face value but break when applied (such as dual guns)

...and you'll see why these threads are so intoxicating. There are so many of these exact same posters that post about the SAME EXACT THING. Spiral Knights isn't your game, it's Grey Havens' game. Can't get over that? Then leave it. Let it pick up dust. Find something else to play.
I know its not my game. I know that there are multiple threads covering the same damn information im spouting. But im not one to post and forget. Game designers including game masters all have to ask what the community wants. In order for the game to make a come back people have to speak the hell up and the GMs and devs need to do something about their community. Like me and alot of others this game is one of our favorites and here we sit idly by as NOTHING is done. Yeah people make similar threads but SOMEONE has to say something. Someone said they are all for change yet they do nothing about trying to impliment change. Take warframe for example why dont you. They ask what the community wants and they give and recieve feedback. They communicate with the community not impliment something and then ignore the community feed back.
I understand that forge was designed to slow down players, but as soon as you hit 5* items you hit a HUGE wall because farming radiants is near impossible compaired to the other heat crystals given FSC Vana gives mostly shining fire crystals (4*) and with no options to craft radiant crystals you as a player hit a HUGE forge wall. Also the price at which radiants are sold in the supply depot is outragous in on itself...700 energy for WHAT? 50 RADIANTS?! Complete bull **** because no one uses the 30% chance at heat success and 80%-100% requires upwards of 100-250 radiants at heat level 4+. At that point with the radiants **** drop chance and requirement to forge its pretty much forcing us to buy from supply depot or suffer the crap farm rate for the radiants.
Because being a veteran player makes you more knowledgeable. Somehow.
I mean we do say things. That's what we do here on these forums, discuss the game. However, absolutely nobody has to take anything we say into consideration - however in the past they clearly have. A recent example would be the slime casino and them adding slime lockboxes to it by the second iteration after people discussed how the rewards weren't all that exciting.
Additionally, I find it odd that you say that you understand that the forge slows you down only to immediately turn and say the problem with the forge is it slows you down. Yeah... That's what it does. Even at 5* it slows you down. The game is pretty terrible with pacing and this is just another example of it.
I know the forge is designed to slow the process down but when around 5* the slow process is like climing a vertical wall because of the radiant crystal drop table and how crap it is compaired to other fire crystals.
Everyone has said what you've said for what seems like a thousand times now.
Dear Sk I'm not going to write you a suggestion....cause you didn't ask for it.... BUT you NEED one
