Am i the only one that's getting considerably lower elite drops on Sewer stash lately?

I've been spending 3 to 4 hours speedrunning Sewer Stash to gather elite orbs each day for the past couple of days.

Each session, i get 1 orb(rarely 2) every other day, . That's it. 1 orb for 6-8 hours of constant farming.

Meanwhile, at the end of these sessions, i gained 8000 crowns. Which shows the ridiculous amount of box openings (with some mob kills sprinkled in when the gate needs to be open from kills).

The more you do the same

The more you do the same mission the less are the chances of you getting something good

I haven't noticed that, but I don't run it as often as you seem to. If you're going to run that mission some more, try collecting some data. I mean, run each mission in the same way (e.g. full clear vs. speed run); before each run, decide whether or not you'll measure it; record the date and what you get; repeat at least 10 times.

The more you do the same mission the less are the chances of you getting something good

I've seen no evidence of that. If anything, the data I've seen suggest that drop rates are pretty constant over a knight's career.

uhh

No that's just RNG for you, seeing as I'm sitting on 50 elite orbs almost exclusively farmed from sewer stash. Some days you get a lot of drops (i've gotten like, 12 in one day) and others you get none from the same amount of farming. Chances don't become more in your favor the more often you do things, you have the same chance on the first try as you do on your 300th try.

I don't get it.

I don't understand why everyone hypes up sewer stash so much. I have done probably 300 sewer stash speed runs and haven't gotten a single elite orb, plus it is the most boring thing to do (besides grinding them from JK). But when I grind RT I get like one every other run plus 2.5k and boss tokens (and it is actually kinda fun). So in my mind sewer stash isn't even worth doing and I don't get why everyone hypes it up.

The only conclusive information that we can get from your experience with elite orb farming is that you have gotten luckier on RT than Sewer Stash. RT has less treasure boxes, and therefore has a lower chance of getting elite orbs. Sewer Stash gives you anywhere from 6 to 18 treasure boxes per run of the first level and can be run incredibly quickly, and therefore has a higher chance of getting elite orbs. On either level, there is a minuscule chance of getting elite orb drops from a treasure box. Despite the fact that you have run Sewer Stash more times than RT yet still found less elite orbs does not mean that Sewer Stash is worse for farming. It has been and probably will be the best place for finding orbs solely for the box count.

Also the number of runs you have completed is most likely inflated and doesn't come close to the actual amount of times you run the level. It's understandable though- Sewer Stash is not fun to run over and over again.

Edit- Despite what it looks like, I'm not trying to get you to run Sewer Stash over RT- if you have fun running RT, play it. You'll probably enjoy the game more that way, and when you enjoy the game more you play more, and when you play more you get more elite orbs.

I guess what you are saying

I guess what you are saying is true but based on my experience I just don't find it worth doing sewer stash

I like Sewer Stash because you can farm a number of things at once: heat, crowns, orbs, and golden slime coins, and it's quicker than boss levels. (trigger warning: I don't have extensive data with statistical variances to support this, deal with it)

If you're just after orbs then do Axes of Evil and break the boxes to the bottom left repeatedly, and repeat the mission. (Bring an alchemer to hit the boxes on the far side)

Backin' you up here, Sewer Stash is my go-to for several forms of farming. These being elite orb farming (I do the first two levels as the 2nd level is a clockwork tunnels), some heating, namely for 3* lvls 1-5 and 4* lvls 1-4. Then there's crowns as yet another reward because shiny along with golden slime coins which are also shiny but slimy.

Sometimes, you get 'droughts' with things like elites. I remember farming for an entire evening and getting no elites. Then, the next day, I got 3 elites in 3 successive boxes, each in different locations. It's just RNG being itself with its fickle nature, it'll pass soon enough. cx

Sewer stash is easy

I prefer doing sewer stash over any other mission because of a recent setup that i came up with. Until then, i was farming RT as well. Not anymore.

Sewer stash is really easy to speed run, it doesn't require much brain power. So while i go at it, i have myself a tablet setup right in front of the computer screen, on which i watch a really long series of episodes while i play SK. That way, i never get bored of doing the farming, since i kinda do it automatically and instead i have my attention on the quite entertaining videos.

Try doing Whipping and Mishandling

I was farming Sewer stash today too and didn't find any orbs after around 1 hour of just rushing the first depth. Then tried Whipping and Mishandling (the one before Sewer stash) and got 2 advanced and 1 elite orb in three runs. But yeah, i guess it all just depends on luck.

I do it for glowing fire, though.

It's total RNG. Last month I did 5 runs in a row, got 2 elites and an adv.
At other times didn't get a single orb in +20 runs.

Yeah, elite drops have been the same for me, as mythical as ever. I did find five in one dat, but then grinds for hours with not a single orb. Sewer stash is a good mission for quite literally pure grind. Here's an example.

On average, people spent about 30 minutes for a FSC run, gaining about 8.5k crowns and 3-4 tokens, which are 1k each.

If you're fast enough after some practice or with a partner, sewer stash first floor can be completed (Killing mobs!) in 2.5 to 3.5 minutes, at about 1k per run. On top of that, the addition of slime coins tack on a random increment of 200 crowns per find. The amount of crowns makes little difference between FSC and Sewer stash, unless you can run FSC in 25 minutes or less. On top of that, sewer stash can be done mindlessly for most people, as the mobs are T2, and can be annihilated relatively easily with an acheron, which most people have. All of that, plus chances for advanced or elite orbs. There's money you don't have to spend on orbs.

If you REALLY want to get technical about it, as of now you can consider every advanced orb for 6,666 crowns, and every elite as 13,333 crowns approximately, respective to their energy prices on depot.

That's why some people argue that sewer stash is one of the best places to farm. It's also sooner accessed and gives you a break if you normally grind FSC a lot.
