How come people have no respect for bombing and gunning? With the exception of Dutch (for some reason) people get triggered when they get killed by any other gunner in the game. If a Voltaic touches the battlefield, someone is already bitching. Swords are the only weapon that don't get complained over for some reason, even though they're the most powerful and most abused weapon type in the game, especially in the hands of someone with God Ping. If anything, swords are "spammed" the hardest and yet, you never hear a peep about that. I just don't get it. Gaming culture is weird. You're all weird.

Majority of players use swords, and it often tends to dish out the most damage, and people are very centric on big numbers whenever they see that scoreboard at the end. Being a recon gunner, it's a bit often where I get a bit of triggering from my alchemers because of their status effects.

Swords are far more effective, it's the meta of the game side LD was born. You only get once in a life time bombers or gunners due to their ping. I play any class any style. Some styles work far greater than others depend on ping. I was in Australia last month and played LD for the first time in like 5 months and was able to dish out 19.7k guns only keeping up my usual playstyle high pressure aggression... Swords are indeed a strict leaving curve if you were originally a 200 ping player or less. You mostly have to do more mvfwd and go kamikaze with swords.
That being said, playing both worlds of ping again, it's not too much of a difference to me at all since im still adept playing other classes.

Swording is the only skillful
Swording is the only skillful playstyle. It's easy as hell to run and spam guns. It's not punishing for missing and the only way you'll die doing it is by getting really outplayed. Swording gets you punished for missing, can't be spammed and requires actual aim instead of depending on people to run into bullets.

There is no legit playstyle, its SK. Most (not all) LD players are hypocrites. They complain about AT, polaris, etc., but use it themselves. The people who claim to be "good sworders" really just spam blaster and wait for an opening to get a quick hit in while praising their own nonexistent skill.
It takes some foresight to see through all the bull, but once you do, the simplistic mindset of the braggarts is laughably easy to exploit.

its more about which guns you use, using an ap isnt the same as using an arcana, which gets you killed in 5 bullets while final flourish needs of 4. Nobody can deny that certain guns are broken without lying
and thats what makes actual sworders (not the hybrids that claim they are sworders) dislike, the gunner update made guns more powerful than swords, which is stupid since swording gets you in danger and gunning doesnt

It depends what skill category you talk about...
AT to me can be used at a skill level if they want to push their game to the next level just because they can... What I mean their game is simply wanting to out preform their teammates of what lockdown is meant for. Winning with top captured points. Good example of that is ezho lol. Try hard AT dude, but no one can contest his cap game, not yet at least... If it's some damage hog scrub with AT and can't show anything else, that's different. It's just unfortunate that we can't ignore how bad players are that use AT and still can't crack a breath taking victory without spoiling the game for everyone and the dumb team balances too lol.
So I don't really have an issue players abusing AT as long their application with it doesn't entirely ruin the match if that makes sense...

AT isn't a problem at all. Players who complain about AT generally aren't good aimers, no offense.
On topic, swordies are just as annoying as gunners for me. Bombs are annoying too. Moral of the story? Getting damaged by a weapon in Lockdown is annoying. Soooo don't rat off gunning as annoying if you never tried it. It's tough.

One of my friends told me that he got kicked from Oracion (Contri's guild) for using AT. I couldn't help but find that situation hopelessly pathetic. But hey, to each their own.

That's a whole different story Contri. Professional players that do not rely on AT complain about players that do because they feel it is not fair. The issue with AT is it focuses on one player, hindering free combos while nerfing the skill ceiling by not expanding the swing space.
AT is only an unfair use with fast-paced swords such as piercing blades or medium-swings such as Brandish. Every other weapon does not gain any advantage with AT.

Community majority likes more close combat, gunners are disliked cause they basically just gun and run, i know that's what they're suposed to do, but when you're a swordman that's very annoying. But just dont care about what other people say, play as you like to, that being said by someone who hates gunners.
